INTRODUCTION
These instructions explain the correct usage of the equipment.
Only certain techniques and uses are described. The user must
always have a solid understanding and working knowledge
of rope based climbing techniques and the ability to judge
safety risks.
Please review all warning symbols.
The user is solely responsible for heeding all warnings and
using the equipment correctly. Any misuse of this equipment
will create additional danger. Contact Notch Equipment if you
have any doubts or difficulty understanding these instructions.
1 \ FIELD OF APPLICATION
Personal protective equipment (PPE) used for fall
protection.
Maximum working load: 130kg (287lb)
Rope Runner Pro: A progression friction rope device for tree
care on a single rope (SRS = Stationary Rope System) or dou-
bled rope (MRS = Moving Rope System). (Fig 1A & 1B)
This product must not be used for any other purpose other
than for which it is designed.
Stationary Rope System (SRS) – The Rope Runner Pro
can be used to ascend, descend and hold a position on a single
strand of rope without the need for additional friction.
Moving Rope System (MRS) - The Rope Runner Pro can also
be used to ascend, descend and hold a position on one rope
doubled over an anchor point and connected back to the user's
harness.
Responsibility / WARNING
Activities involving the use of this equipment are inherently
dangerous. The user is solely responsible for their actions and
decisions.
Before using this equipment, you must:
• Read and understand all instructions for use.
• Understand, accept, and assume all risks and responsibili-
ties for all damage, injury, or death that may result from use
of this equipment.
• Obtain the necessary training from a qualified and compe-
tent instructor in its proper use.
• Fully understand and accept its capabilities and
limitations.
Failure to follow any of these warnings may result
in severe injury or death.
If you are incapable of following these instructions, do not use
this equipment.
Working at height is a very dangerous activity which may lead
to severe injury or fatality. You must personally assume the
responsibility to learn the use and the safety measures that
apply to this equipment. Remember that there is no better
instruction than that of a trained instructor. Train in the use
of this equipment, verify that you have fully understood how
it works, and if in any doubt, please ask a competent person!
Don't make any alterations or additions to the equipment
without the manufacturer's prior written consent. Any repair
shall only be made by the manufacturer. The product shall not
be used outside its limitations or for any purpose other than
that for which it is intended.

3 \ INSPECTION AND POINTS TO VERIFY
Before Each Use
• Check all parts for cracks, deformation, corrosion, wear,
sharp edges, burrs and proper condition.
• Verify proper security of the Stainless Steel Slic Pin.
• Verify the Upper Adjustment Bollard is tightly secured.
• Verify the Bird maintains proper and sufficient force against
the rope to hold the Roper Runner stationary.
• Verify the Bird pivots smoothly and the effectiveness of its
spring (spring must allow Bird to recoil without resistance).
• Verify the Lower Bollard is tightly secured.
• Verify proper security of the Aluminum Slic Pins.
• Verify the SRS Ascent Attachment Point is present and
rotates freely.
• Verify the Lever pivots smoothly.
