Signalling the remaining battery capacity and performing
thermal disinfection
Turn mixer lever to the hot water end stop.
Thermal disinfection is started and the remaining battery
capacity is signalled by holding the finger against the lower area
of the sensor system (indicator lamp lights up continuously, then
flashes slowly, then flashes quickly). Remove the finger when
the quick flashing signals start. The remaining battery capacity
is signalled as follows by the number of flashing signals:
4 = Remaining capacity > 60%
3 = Remaining capacity > 40%
2 = Remaining capacity > 20%
1 = Remaining capacity < 20%
Thermal disinfection starts once the remaining capacity has
been signalled.
The detection zone of the sensor system must be
kept clear while the remaining battery capacity is
being signalled.
If an object is detected during thermal disinfection (hot water
flow), the water stops flowing immediately and the fitting is
closed (indicator lamp starts to flash).
Closure of the fitting ends automatically after 3 minutes or can
be prematurely terminated (see Terminating cleaning mode).
Maintenance
Shut off the water supply and switch off the voltage
supply.
Inspect and clean all components and replace if necessary.
I. Battery, see fold-out page III, Fig. [13]
Batteries which are almost discharged are displayed by
a flashing indicator lamp in the sensor system.
1. Pull battery housing (D) out of bracket (D1) and detach
electronics cable (C).
2. Remove lid (D3) of battery housing (D), as shown.
3. Remove battery (D2) and replace.
Assemble in reverse order.
Fault / Cause / Remedy
Fault
Cause
Water not flowing
• Water supply interrupted
• Filter upstream of solenoid valve blocked
• Solenoid valve defective
• Plug-in connector of solenoid valve without
contact
• No voltage
- Battery discharged
- Plug-in connector without contact
• Hands not in detection zone
• Cleaning mode activated
Water flowing
• Solenoid valve defective
continuously
• Thermal disinfection activated
Undesired water
• Sensor system detection zone set too high
flow
for local conditions
• Automatic flushing activated
Flow rate too low
• Mousseur dirty
• Filter in solenoid valve dirty
• Filters in connection hose dirty
• Shut-off valves, service valves not fully open
• Water supply restricted

English
II. Solenoid valve, see fold-out page III, Figs. [14] to [16]
1. Disconnect plug-in connector between electronics cable and
voltage supply.
2. Remove screw (N), see Fig. [14].
3. Remove screw (E) and detach lever (F).
4. Remove screw (G) and remove temperature limiter (H).
5. Pull fitting housing upwards and remove.
6. Loosen plug-in connector (O) and remove and replace
solenoid valve (P), or clean filter, see Fig. [15].
In the case of prod. no. 36 329 points 3 and 4 do not apply.
Assemble in reverse order.
The plug-in connector (O) must be clamped in the groove
as shown in Fig. [16].
III. Remove and clean mousseur (42 406), see fold-out page I
Assemble in reverse order.
IV. Mixer spindle, see fold-out pages II and III
1. Disconnect fitting from connections.
2. Remove fitting from wash basin.
Disassembly is as described in section "Setting temperature
limiter", see Fig. [8] or [10].
3. Remove screw (Q), see Fig. [17].
4. Pull out mixer spindle (L) and replace.
Assemble in reverse order.
Screw (Q) must engage in groove (L1) of mixer spindle (L).
Replacement parts
see fold-out page I (* = special accessories)
