There are several adjustments to fit the Lynx™ to each user's body.
Step 3—Adjustment Pin A
3. Adjusting the ankle supports
The ankle supports must be wide enough so that the user's ankles can comfortably enter from the side.
To select the width setting of the ankle supports, pull out on Adjustment Pin A and slide the top ankle support to the
desired setting. Re-engage the adjustment pin in the selected hole.
4. Adjusting the length of the handles
The adjustable handles widen as the length setting is increased and narrow as the length is decreased. Thus, typically
users with narrow hips should select a shorter setting and users with wider hips will be more comfortable with a
longer setting.
To select the length of the handles, use your thumb to depress Adjustment Pin B. Slide the handles to the desired
position. Re-engage the adjustment pin in the selected hole.
Repeat the same position for the other handle.
5. Adjusting the length of the main-shaft
The length of the main-shaft will depend on the distance between the user's ankles and the bottom of the user's hands.
To select the length of the main-shaft, pull up on Adjustment Pin C. Slide the shroud to the selected location and allow
the pin to re-engage at the desired setting.
Warning!
Make sure that all Adjustment Pins are completely engaged
in a hole settings prior to use.
Using the Lynx
For comfort, wear shoes or socks.
Sit on the floor with your hips between the handles. Place each leg on either side of the main-shaft.
Slip each ankle into the ankle supports. Turn your foot so that the heel enters the ankle supports first.
Recline onto your back and place your hands onto the top of the handles. Your arms should be slightly bent at your
side, approximately 15-20 degrees, and the heel of each hand should comfortably reach the top of the handles.
Firmly push against the handles. When you apply pressure on the handles to administer the stretch, your arms should
straighten to be at your sides. The pressure applied should allow the body to stretch an average of 1.3 to 2.5 centimeters
(0.5 - 1.0 inch).
You should feel a great stretch to the lower back. If not, you may need to adjust the settings.
