ble, e.g. independently replacing defective insulation. Any mod-
ification leads to the termination of liability on behalf of Erbe
Elektromedizin.

How to use

Clean, disinfect and sterilize the product before using it for the
first time and before every subsequent use.
Do not kink cable.
Protect these products from any form of mechanical damage! Do
not throw! Do not use force!
Connect the instrument to the cable. Then plug the plug connec-
tor on the cable into the bipolar receptacle of the electrosurgical
unit.
Risk of injury. A flash-over can occur on the connection be-
tween the cable and the instrument in the case of HF activation:
during activation of the electrosurgical unit, ensure that no con-
tact is possible with the connection and that no contact takes
place.
Select an appropriate unit setting on the electrosurgical unit. The
unit setting may not exceed the maximum electrical load of both
the cable and the instrument, as the equipment might otherwise
become damaged. The maximum electrical load of the cable is
1000 V ; that of the connected instrument is either printed on

the instrument or noted in the corresponding user manual. Infor-
mation on selecting appropriate unit settings is provided in the
user manual of the electrosurgical unit.
