Removal of Old Disposal

General instructions that may vary depending on the
disposal model. If there is no disposal, go to "Installation" section.

Risk of

Unplug the disposal. If the
disposal is hardwired, turn
off the electrical power at the
circuit breaker or fuse box.
Use a wrench to disconnect the
drain line where it attaches to
the disposal discharge tube.
If a dishwasher is installed,
make sure the dishwasher is
not running. We recommend
unplugging the dishwasher or
turning off the electrical power
at the circuit breaker or fuse
box. Remove the dishwasher
drain hose from the disposal.
