Transferring music titles to your Hansgrohe RainBrain.
The Hansgrohe RainBrain has a micro-SD memory card with a capacity of 2
GB (minus the fi xed memory used for the operating system).
You can fi ll this memory with your favorite music titles. (max. 300 titles)
There are 2 ways to do this:
1. Media transfer via bluetooth
In order to do this you need to "pair" your bluetooth device (mobile phone,
laptop) with the RainBrain.
Switch on your bluetooth device and activate the bluetooth in the settings of
the Hansgrohe RainBrain (see pages 14).
Add the RainBrain to the device from which you want to transfer the media.
You will be prompted to enter the PIN of the touch panel (standard = 0000).
Wait until the connection has been succesfully established. This pairing remains
in place even if the mobile phone or touch panel is switched off .
Now you can transfer mp3s from any bluetooth device to the touch panel.
This process, however, is not recommendable for the transfer
of larger amounts of data. Such transfers generally take a long
time to fi nish. It is therefore recommended to save the music titles directly
to the memory card.
2. Media transfer using the memory card
The 2 GB micro-SD card of the touch panel can be removed.
• In order to do this you need to remove the touch panel from the fi xture
(ill. 1).
• Cut the power supply (mains fuse)
• There is a notch on the lower edge of the touch panel into which you can
place the end of a fl at screwdriver.
• Carefully detach the touch panel from the fi xture.
• The touch panel is secured by against slipping out by 4 clips.
• Loosen the cabling of the touch panel.
• On the left sude of the touch panel you will fi nd a cover under which the
memory card is located (ill. 2).
Remove the memory card. Press on the card to unlock it.

• Now you can read and write to the memory card on a PC or laptop using
a common card reading device. An adapter form micro-SD to SD memory
card may be required.
• You can save your music titles (max. 300 titles) in the "Media" folder. The
other folders must not be written over or deleted under any
circumstances!
• Insert the memory card back into the touch panel (a click signals the card
snapping in), close the cover of the memory card slot and put the panel back
into the fi xture in the reverse sequence used to remove it (ill. 3).
Media playback via bluetooth (streaming)
The Hansgrohe RainBrain can play back music titles from a bluetooth source
directly via streaming. To do this you must follow these steps:
• You must pair the bluetooth device and the touch panel (see above).
• Connect the bluetooth device with the touchpanel

• Select the external player in the music menu (see next page).
• Play the music on your bluetooth device.
Depending on the bluetooth device you can select the desired title (title
names are not displayed on the touch panel), fast forward and rewind or
stop the music.
