8.5 Moving parts
Rollers (Fig. 14; item 2.10), Rubber buffer (Fig. 14; item 2.12; +
Fig. 13; item 1.8), Plastic guides bottom (Fig. 14; item 2.17) and
top (Fig. 9; item 2). These parts must be inspected regularly and
replaced if they are wearing too much. Lubricate the plastic guides
at the marked places. These parts must be inspected regularly and
replaced if they are wearing too much.
To change some of the guide parts, the entire carriage will need to
be removed from the wall frame!
8.6 Brushes
The brushes (Fig. 12 - item 7 + item 8) must be changed once they
have worn down and exhibit only inadequate cleaning performance
on the animals.
8.6.1 Changing the brushes
Vertical brush
1. Unfasten the M10 screws (Fig. 12 - item 8) on the carriage at
the bottom
2. Remove the cover plate (Fig. 12 - item 4) and unfasten the
securing ring (item 43)
3. Pull off the brush (Fig. 12 - item 8) and replace it with the new
brush
4. Assemble the parts in reverse order. Secure the M10 screw
(Fig.12 - item 8) with threadlocker.
Horizontal brush
1. Unfasten the M10 screw (Fig. 12 - item 9) on the brush and
remove the clamping plate (Fig. 12 - item 29)
2. Pull off the brush (Fig. 12 - item 7) and replace it with the new
brush
3. Assemble the parts in reverse order. Secure the M10 screw (Fig.
12 - item 9) with threadlocker.
8.6.2 Brush cleaning
We recommend that the brush element should be cleaned every 6 weeks with a suitable disinfectant.
(For example INTERKOKASK® disinfectant #299698 from Albert Kerbl GmbH)
8.7 Entire unit
The entire unit must be cleaned on a regular basis.
Important!
• The gears, motor and electrical components must not be cleaned with water jets.
• Only clean the control unit with a damp sponge / cloth!
8.8 Disposal
Please observe local waste disposal regulations! Separate all of the unit's parts, auxiliary materials and operating materials according to type.
Consult your local authority if you have any questions concerning disposal options and quantities.
