- Use the appliance, its accessories and tools in
accordance with these instructions. Take working
conditions and job to be carried out into considera-
tion. Using the appliance for anything other than its
intended use can create hazards.
- Use the device only with the battery/ies for which
has been specifically designed. The use of any other
battery/ies s can cause an explosion or fire hazard.
Service:
- The appliance has been verified and designed for a
long useful life as is described in detail in the guaran-
tee sheet included with the product, provided that it
is used in domestic, non-professional conditions.
We recommend checking that the appliance is
functioning correctly after approximately 8000
measurements and after any repair work. Take
the appliance to an authorised Technical Support
Service.
- Make sure that the appliance is serviced only by
specialist personnel, and that only original spare
parts or accessories are used to replace existing
parts/accessories.
- Any misuse or failure to follow the instructions for
use renders the guarantee and the manufacturer's
liability null and void.
Assembling the battery/s
- Caution: During the handling of batteries, do
not touch both poles at the same time, as this will
provoke the partial discharge of the stocked energy
therefore affecting longevity.
- Remove the cover of the battery compartment.
- Check that the plastic covering that protects the
battery has been removed (some batteries are sold
with a protective covering).
- Put the battery in its compartment, respecting the
polarity (Fig. 1).
- Close the cover of the battery compartment.
- It is essential that the batteries should always be
the same kind and the same charge. Never mix
alkaline batteries with normal one (Carbon-Zinc) and/
or rechargeable ones.
- Note: When changing the batteries, the configura-
tion of the appliance will be removed, and you will
need to reset the parameters of the appliance.
Instructions for use
Before use:
- Remove the appliance's protective film.
- Make sure that all the product's packaging has
been removed.
- Prepare the appliance according to the function
you wish to use.
Setting date, time, unit of pressure and memory:

The month digit will begin to flash. Press the memory
button (C) to select the corresponding year.
Next, press button (D) again and change the month
using the memory button (C).
Now press button (D) to change the day by using the
memory button (C).
Next press button (D) to change the hour by pressing
the memory button (C).
Now press button (D) to change the minutes by
pressing the memory button (C).
Next press button (D) to change the unit of pressure
by pressing the memory button (C).
To change from memory 1 to 2, with the machine off
press and hold the On/Off button until one of the two
memories appears (S), once selected press the On/
Off button again and it will switch off.
Connecting the armband and air tube to the
appliance:
Unwind the air tube completely and connect it to the
air tube connection (Fig. 1)
To disconnect it just pull it off.
Using the Tensio precise PLUS model (Arm):
Unroll the armband and flexible tube completely.
Connect the flexible tube to the flexible tube
connector
Insert the end of the armband through the metal
hasp leaving the Velcro facing outward
Uncover the left arm and insert the arm inside the
armband so that the outlet for the flexible tube is
aligned with the centre of the arm, using the middle
finger as a reference (Fig. 2)
Place your arm on the table with your palm facing
upward.
Fit the armband to the top of the arm, leaving a dis-
tance of approximately 1-2 cm between the armband
and the elbow.
Smooth out the armband to ensure there is no air
between the arm and the band, and adjust it using
the Velcro fastener.
Measurements must always be taken on a bare arm
or in rolled sleeves but without exerting any pressure
on the arm.
- Take the measurement on the same arm. Take the
measurement on the left arm, only using the right
arm when it is not possible to use the left.
When taking the measurement seated, relax your
arm on a table and keep the armband at heart level
(Fig. 3) above or below heart level will affect the
accuracy of the reading. Do not speak or move your
body or arm while taking the measurement.
When taking the measurement lying down, lie on
your back for at least 5 minutes and relax your arm.
