WARNING!
•
Always use adequate clothing and safety accessories as called for the job. Use strong boots and trousers,
helmet, noise-proof ear-cover, protective glasses (according to the ANSI Z87.1 standard) and safety gloves.
Wear tight, but comfortable clothing (Drawings A and C).
•
During the transport, the tool shall be always fitted in its safety holster (1).
2.1.4 Precautions
WARNING!
•
Never allow other people to use this tool without prior reading and well understanding these instructions.
•
Never allow children to use or play with the tool.
•
Never allow bystanders or animals to stay in the danger area, i.e. about 3 m all around the operating hedge cutter (B).
•
Never use the hedge cutter near places where possible contacts could occur with electrical conductive material
or electric wires.
•
Always work in a stable and safe position.
•
Do not operate, service or move the tool if you are under the influence of alcohol, medicines or drugs which could
impair your alertness or co-ordination.
2.2 Tool operating precautions
WARNING!
•
Always follow the safety norms. The hedge cutter must only be used for hedge cutting, small bushes trimming and
summer pruning in vineyards.
•
Always use adequate clothing and safety accessories as called for the job. Use strong boots and trousers,
helmet, noise-proof ear-cover, protective glasses (according to the ANSI Z87.1 standard) and safety gloves.
Wear tight, but comfortable clothing (Drawings A and C).

Make sure that the maximum air pressure setting in the compressor is 1000 kPa (10 bar). Higher pressure values could
cause excessive wear in the tools.
•
When the tool is connected to the compressed air supply, but it is not being used, make sure that the safety catch on the
handle is automatically engaged.
•
The user shall be held responsible for any accidents or dangerous situations affecting other people or their property.
•
Always hold the tool with both hands on the handle and make sure you are in a steady and safe work position.
•
Tools and machines shall be strictly used for the purposes described in par. 'Product Description'. Other uses could cause
injuries and/or damages.
2.2.1 Vertical trimming
Trimming shall be made with arch movements downwards and upwards, using both blade cutting sides (see drawing C).
2.2.2 Horizontal trimming
To gain the best trimming results, while trimming forward the operator should keep the tool blade position in a 5° to 10° gradient
(see drawings D and E). Trimm slowly forward, particularly when working on thickly grown hedges.
2.3 Precautions during the maintenance operations
WARNING!
Before performing any maintenance operations or adjustments on the mechanical parts of the equipment, always put on
perforation resistant work gloves and safety goggles or glasses.
•
Routine maintenance and repairs can be carried out only by an operator with the necessary physical and intellectual qualifications.
•
Special maintenance and repairs can be carried out only by a service mechanic.
