Purpose
This equipment has been
designed for stationary in-
stallation in mobile homes
(statics). Other applications
are only permitted after prior
consultation with Truma.
Approval
Declaration of conformity:
The Truma Frostair 3200 RC
air-conditioning unit meets
the basic requirements of
EN 814-1, the technical safety
and environmentally-relevant
requirements of EN 378-1,
the EMV Directive 89/336/EEC,
the Low-Voltage Directive
73/23/EEC, and the other
jointly applicable EC Direc-
tives, and is entitled to bear
the CE marking.
Other Provisions
Any modification to the de-
vice, or the use of spare parts
and functionally-important
accessories which are not
original Truma components,
or failure to respect the

Instructions, will lead to the
cancellation of the guarantee
and to the exclusion of claims
for liability. In addition to this,
the operational approval for
the device will be cancelled.

Location selection
The device is in principle to
be installed in such a way
that it is readily accessible at
all times for servicing work,
and can be easily removed
and installed.
In order to achieve even
air distribution the air
conditioning unit must be
installed in a central position
in a stowage box or the like.
Select a location that allows
the air distribution pipes to
be routed upwards in a con-
cealed position.
The air-conditioning unit is
mounted on the floor. The
equipment draws in interior
air directly via an additional
air grille in the stowage box
wall (1 – special accessory
Part no. 40040-29200) or
through other apertures with
a total surface area of at least
500 cm².
Insert the installation tem-
plate into the stowage box
in which the equipment is
being installed and check the
amount of space available for
floor apertures.
The floor apertures
must be freely accessi-
ble and must not be blocked
by underlying frame elements
or the like!
If required, Truma can
supply an underfloor in-
stallation kit (Part no. 40090-
16000) as a special accessory
for installing the equipment
under the floor.
Standard supply
air intake and exhaust
Fig. B: As standard the sup-
ply air intake and exhaust
pipes (LE, LA) run through
the floor.
Alternative supply air
intake and exhaust
Fig. D: If the floor aperture
(LE) or (LA) is obstructed (by
a frame or the like), the sup-
ply air intake and exhaust can
run through the floor using
a flexible intake pipe that is
a maximum of 1 m in length
(14 – special accessory
Part no. 40090-18000).
Installing the air-
conditioning unit
1. Align installation template
and mark floor apertures
„LE" and „LA" for supply
air intake and exhaust and
condensation drains „KO" in
accordance with the amount
of available space.
2. Fig. B: Mark fastening
points of retaining bracket (6)
and side fastening brackets
(2) for tensioning band (3).
Before starting any
drilling and sawing,
always ensure that there
are no cables, gas lines,
frame sections, or similar
items located or concealed
behind the drilling area!
3. Take out the installation
template and drill or cut out
the apertures. Then seal the
edges of the openings in the
floor.
4. Attach each retaining
bracket (6) with 3 screws.
Position tensioning band (3)
as depicted and attach to
the floor with the 2 provided
retaining brackets (2), each
with 2 screws.
5. Secure the protective grille
provided (5) with suitable
screws or clamps (not includ-
ed in the scope of supply) to
the floor, from beneath.
When installing the
equipment it is par-
ticularly important to note
that the condensation
drain pipes must be posi-
tioned in a central position
above the floor apertures.
Otherwise there is a risk
of water penetrating the
interior! In order to pro-
vide perfect air circulation
the apertures in the base
of the equipment and
the floor must be exactly
aligned. If this is not the
case the equipment is not
guaranteed to operate
correctly!
6. Attach air conditioning unit
using tensioning band. To do
this, lead tensioning band (3)
through buckle (4) and
tighten.
7. Fig. C: Fit provided air baf-
fle plate (7) next to exhaust
outlet „LA" as shown in
illustration.
230 V electrical
connection
The electrical connec-
tion may only be car-
ried out by a qualified profes-
sional installer (in Germany,
for example, qualified in
accordance with VDE 0100,
Part 721)! The instructions
given here are not a chal-
lenge to the lay person to
carry out the electrical con-
nection, but serve to provide
additional information for the
professional fitter whom you
engage!
Establish the connection to
the mains with the connec-
tion cable, 150 cm long, to a
lead in the vehicle, fused to
at least 16 A.
It is essential to ensure the
correct cable colours are
connected!
All cables must be secured
with cable clips!
The mobile home (static)
must have an insulating de-
vice for providing all-pole in-
sulation from the mains with
contact clearance of at least
3 mm for carrying out main-
tenance and repair work.
Cold air distribution
and circulating air
return feed
Cold air distribution
Fig. B + D: The cold air
nozzles on the unit (8) are
designed for the cold air pipe
(g) KR 65, dia. 65 mm. The
tubes must be secured to the
device with clips (10 –
Special Accessory Part no.
39050-71800).
This must be connected to
all four cold air connecting
pieces of cold air pipe KR 65
Ø 65 mm with at least one
outlet.
Important note: The air dis-
tribution system is individu-
ally designed for each mobile
home (static) model using a
modular principle. A broad
range of accessories is avail-
able for this (see brochure).
To achieve the best possible
cooling performance, we
recommend that:
1. Fit air outlet nozzles in
upper and central areas of
mobile home (static) (see
installation example on
page B).
