· Check the power cord before every use for damage. Avoid smashing or kinking the power cord or abrasion
on sharp edges or having contact to hot surfaces or liquids. If the power cord is or becomes damaged, it must
definitely be replaced by the manufacturer, his service agent or similar qualified and authorized experts in
order to prevent hazards.
· Never immerse the appliance, the cord or the plug in water or other liquids. Do not clean the appliance in the
dishwasher.
· Never use the appliance if you discover damage, if water has penetrated the housing or if the appliance has
been dropped.
· Never attempt to open or repair the appliance yourself. In the event of a malfunction, have the appliance
repaired by qualified experts only! Contact your authorized dealer whenever the appliance is in need of repairs.
· Use original accessories only.

Before the first use

· Start by carefully reading the instructions for use and the safety instructions.
· Then remove all packaging materials and dispose of them properly.
· Rinse the interior of the upper and the lower part with clear water. Wipe the outside with a soft cloth, slightly
moistened if needed. Thoroughly dry off afterwards. Attention: Do not use any abrasive cleansers when cleaning.
· Unwind the cable completely and insert the plug into a suitable socket.
· The coffee maker is ready for use now.
· Attention: For hygienic reasons, we recommend preparing espresso once or twice before the first use and
discard it.

Before each use

· Thoroughly inspect the coffee maker, including gasket, funnel, sieve and safety valve for soiling, limescale,
wear or damage.
· Test the rate of flow of the riser pipe in the upper part of the coffee maker.
· Model-based: Check the mobility of the pin of the safety valve. Therefor pull the pin forward from the outside
to the resistance and release the pin.
· If you notice any soiling, calcifications, wear or other damages, it is mandatory for a safe use to resolve them
by cleaning, descaling or replacing damaged parts as required.
