Troubleshooting

Problem
Hot and cold are reversed. The lines are reversed or the cartridge is
There is no flow or a low
water flow.
The temperature range is
restricted.
The handle is hard to turn. The bonnet nut is too tight.
Possible Cause
installed upside down.
One or both water supplies are not
turned on.
The filter screen in the cartridge is dirty.
The temperature limit stop is out of
position.
Solution
Rotate the cartridge 180°.
Turn both water supply valves
counterclockwise to the on position.
Clean the filter screen in the cartridge with
hot water, removing any debris or calcium
build up
Refer to the section Adjusting the
Temperature.
Loosen the bonnet nut and reinstall it. Do
not overtighten.
