Griddle to avoid possible damage to the surface. Make sure the sides
and back of the XL Griddle are at least 4 inches away from any walls,
cabinets, or objects on the counter or table.
3. Before cooking on the XL Griddle for the first time, wash backsplash in
mild dishwashing soap, wipe away any residue, and allow to dry.
4. Use a dampened soapy sponge or paper towel to lightly clean the XL
Griddle surface. Rinse with clean sponge and wipe non-stick surface dry.
5. Attach backsplash. There are 3 tabs on the bottom of the backsplash and
3 corresponding slots located on the back of the XL Griddle. (Figure 1)
Insert the 3 bottom tabs into the 3 slots located on the back of the XL
Griddle. (Figure 1)
6. Slide the drip tray into the front of the XL Griddle. (Figure 2)
7. Condition the XL Griddle's non-stick surface. Turn the temperature
control dial to the OFF position. Insert probe into the socket on the
side of the XL Griddle. (Figure 3) Check to make sure probe is securely
in place.
8. Coat the non-stick XL Griddle surface with vegetable shortening.
9. Plug cord into a 120 V AC wall outlet. Turn the temperature control dial
to 400°F. The control probe's power indicator light will illuminate.
10. Allow the XL Griddle non-stick surface to heat. When 400 °F is reached,
the indicator light will turn OFF.
11. Turn the temperature control dial to the OFF position and unplug from
electrical outlet. Allow the XL Griddle to cool completely. Use a clean
paper towel to remove any excess oil. Your XL Griddle surface is now
conditioned and ready for use.
12. Remove the temperature control probe from XL Griddle and store in a
clean, safe place for next use.
Operation
1. Attach backsplash. Insert the 3 tabs on the bottom of the backsplash
into the 3 corresponding slots located on the back of the XL Griddle.

2. Make sure drip tray is in position under the grease drain in the front
of the XL Griddle. (Figure 2)
