- Screw the self-locking nut (K) onto the adjuster bolt (G) such that the shaft of the adjuster

bolt protrudes by a maximum of 1 mm.
- Use this method to set up all four brackets.

- Use the M8 x 18 bolts (H) to screw the prepared brackets onto the web plates on the run-
ning board (A).
Please note: Do not tighten the bolts. The bracket connection point
near the contact surface must allow free movement over the running
board surface.

- Turn over the running board and position the seals (F) onto the brackets' contact surfaces.
- Any running board set up in this way should be put in a safe place to one side in order to
avoid damaging it.
The procedure for assembling the running board on the right-hand side of the vehicle is
the same.
Important fitting information
Please note: The vehicle must be clean – the best way to do this is to
take it to a car wash.
Fitting procedure
The individual components must be removed and refitted in accordance with the instructions
in the ŠKODA Repair Manual. Remove the components with the utmost care and attention to
avoid damaging the paintwork and the components themselves.
Place the vehicle on the arms of the workshop lifting platform.
Remove the following components from both sides of the vehicle:
- Front door,
- Rear door,
- Front mud flaps (if fitted).
Please note: The front mud flaps that are removed must be given to
the customer when returning the vehicle. The running boards cannot
be used in conjunction with the front mud flaps.

- Remove the seal from the vehicle sill along with the plastic rivets. Also remove the rubber
stoppers on the outside of the vehicle sill (at the bottom).
