Minimum distance from the junction (T-piece): 10 x DN
Installation positions:
• horizontal, vertical, at an angle,
• up to 45° upwards to the pipe axle,
• and up to 90° downwards to the pipe axle.
Only install electronics housing upwards if high operating pressure and automatic ventila-
tors are used.
When installed in damp conditions, the meter must be installed rotated 45° to the pipe
axle.
!
If possible, use the same installation method within one property.
• We recommend using a strainer in front of the volume measuring section.
• Shut-off valves must be installed in front of the strainer and behind the heat meter.
• Rinse the conduit thoroughly before installing the meter – use the replacement pipe
section for the meter for this purpose.
• If replacing a meter, be sure to clean the sealing surfaces of the union piece connector.
Use new seals.
• Open the shut-off devices and check their leak-tightness.
• After installation, perform test for function and leaks.
• The meter starts with measurement when flow occurs.
• Document commissioning.
Computer unit installation
The computer unit must be accessible at all times and readable without further aids.
Compact installation (standard)
Installation directly on the volume measuring section. The computer unit is sealed ex-
works.
Wall installation
Required for: • medium temperature < 15°C / > 55°C, • restricted readability.
1
Choose a dry, easily accessible place.
2
Observe the cable lengths of the temperature sensors.
3
Use the wall-mounting plate for marking the two 6 mm drill holes.
Information for the installation of temperature sensors
• Minimum distance from temperature sensor cable to other installations or cable chan-
nels at least 250 mm!
• ø 5.2 mm Pt500 sensor set (coupled sensors) with 1.5 m silicone cable
• For the qp 0.6 - 2.5m
the volume measuring section.
• The temperature sensors can be installed in special ball valves (qp 0.6 - 6m
sion pockets which are authorised for this type of sensor (>qp 6m
• Install the temperature sensors symmetrically and handle them carefully.
• Ensure that the ends of the sensors reach at least the middle of the pipe cross-section.
!
The cables may neither be shortened nor extended.
