2. Responsibility of the owner and/or the user of the device
This manual is included in the scope of delivery of the jack and must accompany it at any time – also when the device is sold. The owner and/or user of
the jack must be familiar with the instructions for use before commissioning the jack. The manufacturer cannot be held liable for personal and material
damages which may be traced back to incorrect or improper use of the jack.
3. Packaging and installation
• The jack is delivered packaged in 1 box. Dispose of the packaging material according to the corresponding regulations of the country.
1. Take the device including the attached parts out of the box.
2. First loosen the laterally attached hexagon screws, wrench opening 10 (item 5-23) from the bottom handle (item 5-51).
3. Then connect the top handle to the bottom handle. Make sure that the internal guideways are engaged.
4. After that take the two outer rods which serve to position the handle and screw them together. In order to ease the assembly, there is a bevel at the
bottom part of the rod (item 5-5-2) where you can position a fork spanner, wrench opening 15.
5. Subsequently insert the hexagon screw (refer to paragraph 2) and screw it down. This way, the two ends of the handle are fixed.
6. Unscrew the screw mounted at the rear at the lever seat, wrench opening 17 (item 5-12).
7. Insert the complete handle into the opening of the lever seat. At this, make sure that the parts are correctly positioned (insert the adapter end of the
lever into the recess of the lever seat). If it is not immediately correctly engaged, actuate the top turn knob (item 5-2) slightly until the internal
adapter end of the lever slides into the lever seat.
8. Then screw in the screw, which you unscrewed under item 6. This way, the lever is fixed in the seat. In order to commission the lever, please read the
operating instructions. Fixing the adapter seat (refer to the operating manual item 5). The adapter seat included in the scope of delivery can be fixed
at any position of the lever by means of the attached holder. The adapters are secured against falling out by means of the attached splint pins.
4. Safety instructions for the use of the hydraulic jack
4.1 Important safety information and safety guidelines
ATTENTION: We would like to point out that the lock lever (locking, item #10-10) shown on the ET drawing is being omitted. According to the regulations
the valves must return to their initial position in critical situations. The legal accidents prevention regulations as well as the other generally approved
safety-related occupational-medical rules and the accident prevention regulations for powered work equipment need to be complied with. Any use
beyond the above described use is regarded as improper use. The manufacturer cannot be held liable for any damages resulting hereof. The operating
instructions are part of the scope of delivery and have to be delivered to the new owner, if the hydraulic jack is resold. In order to guarantee a safe
operation make sure that the hydraulic jack is only operated maintained or repaired by properly trained staff. Persons who are authorized to execute the
correspondingly necessary activities and are able to recognize and avoid possible risks due to their education, experience and instruction, as well as
their knowledge about appropriate standards, regulations and accident prevention regulations are qualified staff. The operator must take care that the
persons commissioned with the operation, the care and maintenance as well as the repair have read and understood the operation
instructions and observe all items in order to:
- Avert risks for life and limb of the user and of third persons
- Make sure that the hydraulic jack is safely operated avoiding downtimes and impairments of the environment by wrong handling. The responsibilities for
the works must be clearly determined and observed in order that no unclear competences occur with regard to the safety. The mechanical maintenance
works must be performed within the prescribed intervals and at the prescribed scope. After the maintenance works all disassembled protective devices
must be correctly reassembled. The protection devices and their protective effect must be checked by an expert before commissioning the device.
Disassembly, stopping and/or bridging of separating protective devices (covers, protective guards, etc.) and/or safety-protective devices (dead man's
handle, overload valve, etc.) can cause severe health hazards or material damages and are therefore strictly forbidden by the manufacturer!!
The manufacturer guarantees the hydraulic jack according to the conditions of sales and delivery. The warranty claim is become null and void, if
- Damages are caused by improper use,
- Repairs or interventions are performed by unauthorized persons,
- Accessories and spare parts are used, which are not adapted to the hydraulic jack.
Any breakdowns must be notified as soon as they are recognized. The hydraulic jack must be tagged accordingly. Any defects must be repaired
immediately in order to keep the extent of damage as little as possible and not to impair the safety of the device. If the above mentioned items are not
observed, the warranty claim is becoming null and void. Any changes in the sense of technical improvements are reserved by the manufacturer.
4.2 General safety notes
The hydraulic jack is built state-of-the-art and delivered safe-to-operate. Conditioned by the function there are positions and parts, which cannot be
covered or protected without considerably impairing the function and operability. Therefore, a good personal safety practice of the operator is required
for personal protection and to protect against damages on the device. The hydraulic jack must only be used and operated in the frame of the conditions
determined in the service and delivery contract. Any retrofitting, modifications or conversions of the devices are generally forbidden. In any case the
manufacturer must be consulted first. If there are any residual dangers and risks showing up during operation which are not described in these operating
instructions the operator is obliged to inform the manufacturer accordingly.
4.3 Special safety guidelines
• The loads to be lifted must never exceed the capacity of the jack.
• Do not operate the jack exceeding the maximum stroke mentioned on the type plate.
• Park the vehicle, respectively the load to be lifted on a stable, even, horizontal surface and secure the wheels in order to exclude possible movements.
• Never use the jack on tilted surfaces.
• Always position the jack in a way that it is excluded to operate it below the vehicle.
