IV. GETTING STARTED
4.1- Unpacking
- Remove product from its packaging.
- Check that tool and accessories are not damage
4.2- Inserting and removing a tip (1)
- Unscrew the screw(s) (2)
- Insert a tip (1).
- Tightly screw the screw(s) (2)
- Check that tip is correctly inserted and tightened.
4.3- Operation (switching on and off)
4.3.1- For the iron
- To start the soldering iron: connect cable plug to mains.
- To stop the soldering iron: disconnect cable plug from mains.
4.3.2- For the gun
- To start the soldering gun: press the ON/OFF trigger switch (4).
- To stop the soldering gun: release the ON/OFF trigger switch (4).
Note: The light (3) turns on when you press the ON/OFF trigger switch (4).
Advice: to extend the life of the soldering gun, we recommend:
- to lubricate the tip
- to keep gun at constant temperature
- do not keep switch depress for too long: operate for 12s and rest for 48s.
V. OPERATION
5.1- Intended use
- The product is intended for indoor domestic use.
- The product is intended for soldering parts.
5.2- Operation:
1. Wear appropriate protective equipment.
2. Prepare part or material for work
3. Secure part or material, if necessary.
Do not use your own weight or body to hold material.
4. Connect product to a power source corresponding to the characteristics specified on the product.
5a. Iron: Put the soldering iron on its stand (if fitted) and wait until soldering tip is well heated.
5b. Gun: Press on switch (4) to start the soldering gun.
It will only take 6to8 seconds for the gun to reach working temperature (approx. 230ºC)
6. Firmly hold tool by handle. Always maintain a balanced and secured position.
7. Melt some soldering wire on the soldering iron tip.
8. Put the soldering tip on to the point to be soldered.
9. Put some soldering wire on that point, until soldering tin melt.
10. Melt some tin to the other soldering part.
11. Solder the two parts together; avoid over heated
12. Cool the soldering point.
13a. Iron: Once soldering is finished, stop product by unplugging it from mains.
13b. Gun: Once soldering is finished, stop product by releasing the trigger switch (4).
Note: Place iron tip on its stand and allow tip to cool down. Make sure that the tip is fully cold before
any intervention, maintenance or before storing.
