1
Attach the e-chill to the aquarium using the relevant fixing lever (1), without forcing it. Ensure the resting surface (2) is
2
level with the edge of the aquarium. Figure A
3
Lower the level sensor (3) and immerse it ensuring the ring (4) coincides with the desired minimum water level. Figure B
4
Lower the water temperature sensor completely (5). Figure B
5
Adjust the angle of the fans as required. Figure C
Connect the jack (6) to the e-chill, then the transformer to the power supply. The green power LED will come on.

Thermostat settings
Calibrating the sensor
Press down the SET button for 5 seconds to enter the menu, then press SET once again; the water temperature detec-
ted by the sensor will be shown. Use the arrows (7-8) to change the value so it is the same as the one shown on the
thermometer (not included). The new value will automatically be memorised after a few seconds. Figure E
!
In the event that the e-chill is used as an economiser combined with an aquarium chiller, the
sensor must be calibrated with the value shown on the aquarium chiller display.
Setting the temperature
Press the SET button then use the arrows (7-8). After a few seconds, the value will be memorised automatically, and
the display will show the water temperature currently detected by the sensor. Figure E
Hysteresis
The hysteresis is the temperature interval that determines when the e-chill turns on and off. The pre-set value is 0.2°C.
The e-chill will start working when the water temperature is 0.2°C higher than the temperature set. To change this
value, hold down the SET button for 5 seconds to access the menu, then use the arrows (7-8). The new value will
automatically be memorised after a few seconds. Figure E
Fan speed
Use the - and + buttons (9-10) to increase or decrease the speed of the fans.

Signals and Alarms
AL on the e-chill display and acoustic signal
The water level is lower than the one set.
Re-establish the level of the water in the tank. Once this has been done, the alarm will reset itself to zero automatically.
E1 on the e-chill display and acoustic signal
The water level sensor is broken.
Refer to your retailer to replace the sensor.
E2 on the e-chill display and acoustic signal
The temperature sensor is broken.
Refer to your retailer to replace the sensor.
The acoustic signal can be disabled by pressing the - and + buttons contemporarily (9-10). The alarm can still be
seen on the display of the e-chill.
When one of the above alarms appears on the display, the fans will stop working. It will return to normal functioning
!
when the functions of the e-chill have been restored.
!
The alarms are NOT shown on the display of the remote control.

Advanced functions

Shutting off the level sensor
The water level sensor can be shut off by contemporarily pressing buttons 7-9. The display of the e-chill will show L_0,
alternating with the water temperature.
To restore this function, press buttons 7-9 again. Figure E
The e-chill will switch itself on and off depending on the temperature set. The minimum water level will not be taken
!
into consideration.
Shutting off the water temperature sensor
The water temperature sensor can be shut off by pressing buttons 8-10 contemporarily. The display of the e-chill will
show notification t_0. To restore this function, press buttons 8-10 again. Figure E
The e-chill will operate continuously. The water temperature will not be taken into consideration, nor will it be displa-
!
yed. The e-chill will only stop when the water level is lower than the level set.
By shutting off both sensors, the e-chill will function constantly, and the display will show L_0 and t_0.
!
Remote Control
1
Insert the two batteries supplied ensuring the polarity is correct.
Using the remote control it is possible to set the desired temperature and speed of the fans (follow the instructions in
2
the paragraphs of the section entitled "thermostat settings"). Each time the buttons are pressed, the e-chill will emit
an acoustic confirmation signal.
!
The display of the remote control shows the temperature set.
NB: if the temperature is set on the thermostat of the e-chill, the remote control will NOT be updated.
!
The Signals and Alarms are not shown on the display (see relevant section).
