General Safety Instructions
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, and/or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use
of the appliance in a safe way by a person responsible for their safety.
• Supervise children to ensure that they do not play with the device.
• Never try to extinguish a grease fire with water! Instead, switch off the appliance
and cover the flames, for example with a pot lid or a fire blanket.
• Do not store any objects on the cooking surface.
• Make sure that no electrical components or cables come into contact with the hot
surfaces of the appliance.
• Never use the appliance to heat up the room or to dry clothes.
• Do not install the appliance directly next to curtains or fabric furniture.
• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, customer
service or a similarly qualified person to avoid danger.
• The unit must not be used in combination with an external timer or a separate
remote control system.
• Make sure that the mains cable is no longer accessible after installation.
• If the surface of the unit is damaged, switch off the unit immediately to avoid electric
shock.
• Monitor the cooking process. Short cooking processes must be permanently
monitored.
• This appliance should be connected to a circuit which has a disconnect switch,
easily accessible to the user, by which the appliance can be completely
disconnected from the mains. Disconnection can be achieved by installing a switch
in the fixed wiring in accordance with the wiring regulations.
• Before accessing the terminals, all supply circuits must be disconnected.
• Only use the hob guard recommended or designed by the manufacturer. The use of
a hob guard not recommended by the manufacturer may cause accidents.
• The appliance and easily accessible parts of the appliance get very hot during use
of the device.
• Do not touch the heating elements while using the appliance.
• During installation, follow the instructions in the section "Installation".
Note: The unit has an extremely high power consumption of 3000 W (~ 13 amps).
Consequently, the unit is only to be used in new buildings or with distribution boards
with at least 16 amp fuse protection.
