The connection to the power supply through plug adapters is absolutely forbidden. In case the cabinet has to be placed
far from the available socket, the cabling must be realised as stated by the regulation in force at the time of the
installation. The cabinet must be connected to the earth circuit.
Warning: The installation must be carried out by qualified personnel, as per the indication given by the manufacturer,
following the regulations (regulation and laws for electrical safety, accident and fire prevention measures, general
regulations) in force in the Countries where the cabinet will be put into operation.
The manufacturer decline any responsibility on any possible damages to persons, animals or things caused by
wrong installation or non-observance of the above indication.
Electrical safety according to EN 60335-1, EN60335-2-89 climate class 5 (40°C, 40% R.H.).
7 – Technical characteristics
The cabinets is provided with a plastic envelope containing this instruction manual, which has to be preserved and always
taken as reference. All technical data, electrical diagrams, tables and data sheets related to the cabinet are provided in
the instruction manual. The technical data are listed on the serial number plate (see Fig.9). The plate indicates:
1. Name and address of the manufacturer
2. Commercial name of the cabinet
3. Cabinet code
4. Cabinet serial number
5. Rating
6. Frequency
7. Max absorbed current
8. Max absorbed power
9. Max absorbed power during defrosting
10. Standard lighting power
11. Net display area
12. Type of cooling gas used
13. Weight of cooling gas loaded in each unit
14. Climate class and reference temperature (dry bulb)
15. Electrical safety factor
16. Work schedule number
17. Work order number
18. Year of manufacture
19. Heating capacity
20. QR code
21. EAC marking
Warning: The serial number plate and the labels which state the manufacturer's indication must not be removed. The
manufacturer decline any responsibility in case of non-observance of this statement. The manufacturer declares that the
cabinet conforms to the Italian law No. D.L. dtd 25/01/1992 N°108, fulfilment of EEC Directive No. 89/109 related to the
goods and the items which are in contact with foodstuff.
8 – Filling and using the cabinet (start-up)
If the cabinet has been tilted during shipment or because of improper positioning, wait at least 3 hours before starting it
so that the lubricating oil can drain back into the compressor. Failure to do this could damage the compressor
irreparably. After cleaning the cabinet (following the instructions in paragraph 11) and after following the instructions in
the previous paragraphs, the cabinet can be started for the first time. Plug it in (as described in paragraph 6) and switch
it on using the remote circuit breaker, if any. Press the switch on the side of the electronic control to power the display
and start the compressor. You will hear the slight hum of the compressor which means the cabinet is on. The electronic
control is located on the back casing (Fig. 11), and controls cabinet operation, indicating the working temperature of the
cabinet. The illumination can be lit using the switch on the side of the electronic control panel. The cabinet starts the
cooling cycle and, after about 2 hours, it can be filled with products (check the temperature on the display). It is also
possible to read the temperature inside the cabinet on the thermometer installed in the basin (Fig. 12). The cabinet is
designed to display food products and should maintain the temperature of the product without lowering it, so the product
should be placed in the cabinet only if already chilled to its proper storage temperature.
For ideal storage of the product we recommend:
-
Filling the cabinet uniformly with products of the same type and dimensions.
-
Leaving some room between products to ensure good air circulation.
-
Not obstructing the openings for distribution of chilled air to guarantee the proper air flow (Fig. 13 and 14).
Plug-in cabinets are supplied, as standard equipment, with an electronic control unit. The thermostat setting and gas
charge are done in the factory and the manufacturer is not liable if the settings are tampered with.
Important: The cabinet is programmed to work in Class H and Class M2 at specific conditions (see Tab. 1). To obtain
lower working temperatures than those preset in the factory, use the digital thermostat. Press SET and at the same time
use the lower key to select the desired temperature. The instruction manual for the electronic control unit is enclosed
