Adjust the air supply pressure of the pump to 0,
Locate the switch on the "up position".
Adjust the supply air pressure of the pneumatic ram with the regulator to 2 bar / 29 psi.
Open the little valve. Input at the same time the 'movement validation' buttons. Input the "drum
extraction' button intermittently to get the drum on the bottom of the pneumatic ram. It prevents the drum
from being not straight and from being wedged with the follower plate.
When the follower plate is near to go out, stop injecting air under the plate to prevent from material
projections and the sudden going up of the pneumatic ram.
Let the pneumatic ram go up to top position then release the 'movement validation' buttons.
Clean the follower plate.
Caution : when cleaning the follower plate or when servicing the equipment, never
touch the pump shovel. The going up of the shovel can lead to serious injuries
(crushing or cutting of the fingers).
Locate a new material drum under the elevator (material card towards the operator).
Lubricate the seal (s) of the follower plate with the appropriate grease.
Locate the switch on the "down" position.
Close the little valve. Input at the same time the 'movement validation' buttonss and let the pneumatic
ram go down until the follower plate enters the drum. Check that the drum is correctly centered.
Remove the priming rod from the follower plate.
Continue the down stage and wait until the material flows out of the priming hole of the follower plate
then release the 'movement validation' buttons and place the switch on the "0" position,
Screw the priming rod and clean the material around the rod.
Locate the switch on the "Down" position. Input at the same time on the two 'movement validation'
buttons of the "two-hand" control system and wait until the "button release" LED is activated The
pneumatic ram now goes down automatically.
Adjust the air pressure of the pneumatic ram depending on the viscosity of the material.
Use a container to carry out the pump outlet drain.
Open progressively the pump outlet drain valve.
Act on the supply regulator control of the pneumatic motor and operate the pump.
When the pump operates, wait until material flows out without oil or air trace then close the drain valve.
If material doesn't flow out of the drain valve, increase progressively the air pressure.
After draining the pump outlet, adjust the air pressure of the pump to the operating pressure.
C. SHUTDOWN
Shut off the compressed air.
The pumps must remain full with product. The ram plate must stay in contact with the product because it
acts like a cover and avoids that the product dries.
