A. STARTING UP
Fill the throat packing nut of fluid sections with lubricant T.
Check that the fluid circuit is correctly connected and that the fittings are correctly tightened.
Check that the valves are closed.
Reset all the regulators to zero (counter clockwise rotation).
Open the general air inlet valve and check the tightness of the pneumatic supply circuit.
Adjust to 2 bar / 29 psi with the regulator the supply air pressure of the pneumatic ram (adjust it if
necessary).
Locate the switch of the "two-hand" control system on the "up" position.
Input at the same time the two 'movement validation' buttons and let the pneumatic ram go up to top.
Lubricate the seal (s) of the follower plate with the appropriate grease.
Take off the priming rod from the follower plate.
Open the pump outlet drain valve.
Open the material drum and take off the protective cover if there is one.
Locate the drum under the pneumatic ram (material card towards the operator).
Locate the switch on the "down" position.
Input at the same time the two 'movement validation' buttons and let the pump go down until the
opening of the drum.
Check that the drum is correctly centered,
Continue the down stage and wait until the material flows out of the priming hole of the follower plate
then release the 'movement validation' buttons and place the switch on the "0" position,
Screw the priming rod and clean the material around the rod,
Locate the switch on the "Down" position, input at the same time on the two 'movement validation'
buttons of the "two-hand" control system and wait until the "button release" LED lights up. The
pneumatic ram now goes down automatically.
Adjust the ram air pressure depending on the viscosity of the material.
Use a container to carry out the pump outlet drain. The drum must be large enough because the pump
still contains oil used for the tests.
Act on the supply regulator control of the pneumatic motor and operate the pump.
Once the pump operates, wait until the material flows out without oil or air trace. Then close the drain
valve. If material doesn't flow out of the drain valve, increase progressively the air pressure.
After draining, adjust the air pressure of the pump to 0 bar / 0 psi.
Place a container under the gun nozzle.
Caution : air and oil can flow out under pressure, protect the installation from projections.
Open the gun.
Increase progressively the air pressure of the pump until the material flows out without oil or air trace
The adjustment will be carried out depending on the pressures and the flows required.
B. REMOVING THE DRUM
The operator must wear individual protections (gloves, shoes, glasses). During the
plate drain or pump outlet, the material flows out under pressure and projections
can occur. All the personal in the working area must wear protective equipments.
