INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
MEMORY SAVER, 12V
CAUTION!
Charge the Memory Saver for at least 48 hours immediately after purchase, and after each use.
When not in use, charge the Memory Saver at least once a month for 48 hours, to keep the internal battery
perfectly efficient. Never leave the Memory Saver down for a long time; the efficiency of the internal battery
might be significantly affected and prevent the device from operating properly.
WARNINGS
Precautions for the operator
CAUTION! Please read the WARNINGS carefully before using the product. Misuse of the product will void the
warranty!
• Use the Memory Saver with care.
• Close supervision is necessary when used by invalid people (including children).
• Keep out of the reach of children. This device must not be used as a toy.
• Be aware of creating sparks or flames, and do not smoke near the engine and battery.
• Keep the Memory Saver away from heat sources and flammable materials.
• Do not drop metal tools on the battery. This might cause the battery to short-circuit.
• Do not wear any metal objects (rings, bracelets, watches etc.) when working with a battery.
Important safety measures
• Do not put objects into any slots or openings found on the surface of the Memory Saver.
• To charge the Memory Saver, only use the supplied charger. Charge the Memory Saver in properly ventilated
and dry rooms: do not expose to rain or snow.
• To disconnect the charger from the Memory Saver, pull the plug, and not the cable.
• Do not charge the Memory Saver if the charger is damaged; please contact your dealer to replace or repair the
device. Only replace with original spare parts supplied by the manufacturer.
• Do not use the Memory Saver if the plastic is broken, if you are aware of unusual smells, or if it produces too
much heat.
• In case of damage, any repair or maintenance jobs must only be performed by trained personnel.
• CAUTION! FAILURE TO MATCH THE VOLTAGE OF THE MEMORY SAVER WITH THE VOLTAGE OF THE
VEHICLE SYSTEM MIGHT CAUSE EXPLOSIONS OR DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE, THE PRODUCT AND
PEOPLE.
• Before replacing the battery of the vehicle, turn off the lights of the vehicle and any other accessories that might
be operating.
• Misusing the Memory Saver, or tampering with the electronic circuit in the device will void the warranty.
Charging Memory Saver by 230V ac – 15V dc charger
1. Make sure that no device has been connected to the Memory Saver (see section "Using Memory Saver as
energy source).
2. Connect the 230V charger jack to the charging socket on the back of the Memory Saver; place the switch on
the front into the "Internal charging" position.
3. Connect the charger to the 230V home mains socket. The LED indicators showing the battery charging level
will turn on.
4. When the green LED indicator turns on (100%), it means that the battery is fully charged; disconnect the char
ger from the 230V mains socket. When not in use, charge the Memory Saver at least once a month for 48
hours, to keep the internal battery perfectly efficient.
CAUTION! Only use the charger supplied with the memory saver.
HOW TO USE MEMORY SAVER
Using the Memory Saver allows the memories of your vehicle to be kept active while the battery is being replaced,
thereby preventing the settings of your car accessories (radio, alarm, control panels...) from getting lost.
