Troubleshooting Module Installation
MDO4000, MSO4000, MSO4000B, DPO4000, and DPO4000B Series
1. Power off the oscilloscope.
2. Remove the module and examine the contacts for damage or contamination.
Clean contacts if necessary using a 75% isopropyl alcohol solution.
3. Reinstall the module into the oscilloscope.
4. Power on the oscilloscope, and perform the Checking Module Installation
procedure. (See page 4.)
a. If the Application Module Enabled display lists the application module,
cleaning the contacts fixed the problem.
b. If the Application Module Enabled display does not list the application
module, go to step 5.
5. Power off the oscilloscope and move the module to another slot.
6. Power on the oscilloscope, and perform the Checking Module Installation
procedure. (See page 4.)
a. If the Application Module Enabled display lists the module, you have a
problem with one of the module slots. Contact your Tektronix service
center.
b. If the oscilloscope does not list the module after you try the module in
every slot, contact your Tektronix service center.
