3.1 Connecting cables

A. Connect the power supply to the power outlet and to the CIS525U.
B. Connect the USB cable to the CIS525U and to a free USB port on your computer.
C. Use the power switch on the back of the CIS525U to turn on the device.
Windows 2000, XP & Vista will recognize the device automatically. No driver installation is
required to operate the CIS525U.
3.2 Safe removal
The device must be removed safely in your operating system before you disconnect the
device from your computer, otherwise data could be lost.
You can remove the 'USB Mass Storage Device' safely by clicking the Safe Removal icon in
your system tray.
Select the device you want to remove.
Windows will show a message on your screen when he safe removal is succeeded.
