ENGLISH (Original instructions)
Š Ensure that the voltage indicated on the rating label
matches the mains voltage before plugging in the appliance.
Š Connect the appliance to a base with an earth socket
withstanding a minimum of 10 amperes.
Š The appliance's plug must fit into the mains socket prop-
erly. Do not alter the plug. Do not use plug adaptors.
Š Do not force the power cord. Never use the power cord
to lift up, carry or unplug the appliance.
Š Do not wrap the power cord around the appliance.
Š Do not clip or crease the power cord.
Š Do not allow the power cord to hang or to come into
contact with the hot surfaces of the appliance.
Š Check the state of the power cord. Damaged or tangled
cables increase the risk of electric shock.
Š Do not touch the plug with wet hands.
Š Do not use the appliance if the cable or plug is damaged.
Š If any of the appliance casings breaks, immediately
disconnect the appliance from the mains to prevent the
possibility of an electric shock.
Š Do not use the appliance if it has fallen on the floor, if
there are visible signs of damage or if it has a leak.
Š The appliance must be used and placed on a flat, stable
surface.
Š Do not use or store the appliance outdoors.
Š Do not leave the appliance out in the rain or exposed
to moisture. If water gets into the appliance, this will
increase the risk of electric shock.
Š Use and care:
Š Do not switch the appliance on without water.
Š Do not use the appliance if the on/off switch (C) does
not work.
Š Do not move the appliance while in use.
Š Use the appliance handle/s, to catch it or move it.
Š Respect the MAX level indicator.
Š Disconnect the appliance from the mains when not in
use and before undertaking any cleaning task.
Š Unplug the appliance from the mains before refilling the
water tank.
Š Store this appliance out of reach of children and/or
persons with physical, sensory or reduced mental or lack
of experience and knowledge.
Š Do not store the appliance if it is still hot.
Š The appliance is only intended for heating water; as a
consequence, the appliance should not be used for the
cooking or heating of milk...
Š Never leave the appliance connected and unattended if
is not in use. This saves energy and prolongs the life of
the appliance.

Š Take care when handling recipients containing liquids
heated in this appliance as they may boil fiercely.

Instructions for use
Š Before use:
Š Remove the appliance's protective film.
Š Before using the product for the first time it is advisable
to boil water within, so as to remove all remaining dust
and impurities.
Š Before using the product for the first time, clean the
parts that will come into contact with food in the manner
described in the cleaning section.
Š Filling with water:
Š You must fill the water compartment before turning on
the appliance.
Š Remove the lid (A) by turning it anticlockwise and lifting
it. (FIG 1)
Š Fill the kettle with cold water up to the maximum filling
mark.
Š Replace the lid (A) by aligning the open padlock symbol
on the lid (A) with the lid closed position indicator (G).
Then turn clockwise to lock. (FIG 2)
Š The lid closed position indicator (G) and the closing
symbol must be aligned.
Š Use:
Š Connect the appliance to the mains.
Š Start the appliance by pressing the on / off switch (C).
You will see that the light (D) is activated.
Š After a short period, the water will begin to boil.
Š The unit will continue to boil until turned off or the plug is
removed from the power socket. Do not open the lid (1)
when the water is boiling.
Š Once you have finished using the appliance:
Š Stop the appliance by pressing the on/off switch.(C)
