2-3 seconds, it will initially start flashing approx. once per
second. Continue to hold down the button until the LED
starts flashing twice as fast. Release the button. The radio
module confirms deletion by emitting a short beep and
then returns to standard mode. However, the device does
not belong to a radio group.
Installation
D 130 I/O module:
Screw the radio module onto a stable surface without
exposing the housing to mechanical stress. Make sure
that the device is located at least 0.5 m from any other
radio module/D 110 smoke detector or the N 100 radio
hybrid system or any metal objects in the building (Fig.
9).
D 140 I/O module:
The D 140 I/O module can be clicked into the V 130
surface-mounted box directly (Fig. 10) or inserted into the
V 110 call point (Fig. 11).
Connect the radio module as shown in the connection
examples (Figs. 1 - 7).
Check that each installed radio module is operating
correctly by using the test feature as follows:
Press the button for approx. 1 second (Fig. 8.1). The
radio module will then trigger a test alarm, which is
automatically silenced after approx. 20 seconds. All
devices within the same radio group will also be triggered.
Warning!
• D o NOT hold down the button for too long (more than
2 seconds), or else the radio module will revert to the
factory settings (Fig. 8.1).
If the nature of the surrounding area means that a radio
module is located outside the radio transmission range
of the other devices in the same radio group, you may
be able to rectify this by installing an additional radio
module/D 110 smoke detector. The device's in-built
repeater will help strengthen the radio signal to ensure
that an alarm is automatically relayed from one detector
to another within the radio group.
Operation
Silencing
All radio modules/D 110 smoke detectors will emit
an intermittent sound when the alarm is triggered. If
you briefly press and hold down the button for approx.
1 second (Fig. 8.1) on the device that initiated the
alarm, all the other radio modules/smoke detectors will
also automatically cancel the alarm after a maximum
of approx. 30 seconds for a period of approx. 10-13
minutes. If you briefly press and hold down the button for
approx. 1 second on the device receiving the signal, only
this device will be muted.
Test
The radio module continuously carries out an automatic
self-test. Amongst other things, this is used to
periodically test the electronics, the voltage and the
