IMPORTANT: Be sure to observe local ordinances when disposing of used fluid. Do
not mix hydraulic fluid with engine oil if you are planning to have these fluids recycled.
Completely drain the reservoir after every 100 hours of operation. Refill with new
hydraulic fluid. If pump is used infrequently, change the fluid once a year.

Procedure:
1. Place pump on flat surface and position drain plug above a pan to catch the used fluid.
2. Remove the drain plug (A).
3. Tilt the pump and allow fluid to drain completely out of reservoir.
4. Reinstall drain plug (A).
5. Fill the reservoir through the fluid level gauge opening (B) with new hydraulic fluid.
(See page 2 for recommended fluid specification.) It may be necessary to prime the
pump after filling. See
See the Honda / Briggs Owner's Manual that was supplied with your pump. Follow the
Maintenance Schedule to keep the engine in operating condition.
Operate the pump and observe its performance. Refer to
to isolate problems. If the pump fails to perform as it should, the seals may need to be
replaced. The life of the pump seals will depend upon the pump usage, cleanliness, and
environmental conditions.
When replacing the seals, it is best to have all the seals and any other worn parts
replaced. Replacing only one or two seals at a time will tend to increase the frequency
of repairs and downtimes. See Enerpac Repair Parts Sheet L2154 or L2155 for service
part numbers. Contact your local Authorized Enerpac Service Center. Only qualified
hydraulic technicians should service the pump.
