Installation

4.1

Preparatory work

Before starting the installation, check that all the required products are complete and functional.
Correctly mount/deburr profile cutouts / hardware drill holes / cable bushings in accordance with
Appendix 2 or the relevant enclosed manual. Thoroughly remove swarf.
Attention electronics: make sure the lock recess is free of swarf and clean!
NOTE
Pull in cable on the safeguarded side of the door without bending or buckling it. Provide for a
sufficiently large cable loop at the lock.
Protect the cable against abrasion!
Provide a cable disconnection point in the area of the cable link to make it easier to remove the door.
Max. cable length from the lock to the control unit/junction box is 10 m (length of pre-assembled
cable). In addition, larger cable cross-sections may be required to prevent voltage drops (see fig. 3).
