Voltage loss during motor-driven operation

If the power supply fails during motor-driven actuation, the motor stops and the latchbolt remains in
its current position.
In order to use the motor-driven lock at fire and smoke protection doors, it must be connected
WARNING
to an emergency power supply!
The latchbolt can be moved to the „latch" or „locked position" at any time via the latch lever
operation of the cylinder.
To ensure that the latchbolt also locks securely when the power supply fails, the lock must be
connected to an emergency power supply (e.g. B 5490 0301 or external emergency power supply).
The purpose of the emergency power supply B 5490 0301 is to lock once only, it cannot be used for
permanent motor-driven actuation of the lock.

Motor-driven daytime release

(only active when the seal is broken)
To activate the motor-driven daytime release, the seal and the wafer behind it
must be pierced, e.g. with a mini screwdriver, as shown in fig. 2.
Before piercing, the lock must be disconnected from the power supply!
ATTENTION
Once the lock has been rebooted, the function can be used.
The latchbolt now remains retracted for as long as a signal is applied in addition to the power supply
(+24 V DC Pin 13 and GND Pin 14) at the control input (Pin 9/pink) and is only extended again after
the signal drops out.
In the as-delivered condition, the motor-driven daytime release cannot be activated!
The lock goes into standby during the motor-driven daytime release (see 1.1).
When the seal is broken, the permit for use at fire and smoke protection doors is invalidated!

If a voltage loss occurs during motor-driven daytime release, the points described under 3.6 apply.
If a control signal continues to be applied after the power supply is restored, the latchbolt is
retracted again immediately, even if the lock has in the meantime been moved to the "locked
position", e.g. via the locking cylinder.
If the lock cannot unlock when driven by the motor, e.g. due to excessive load on the door leaf, it
switches to overload protection. If the control signal remains applied, the lock attempts to withdraw
the latchbolt 3x at 20 s intervals and signals this event via a red LED in the lower area of the latchbolt
hole (see 3.8).
If the lock still cannot unlock after these 3 attempts, it ignores all incoming control signals.
