OPERATION OF THE DEVICE

Installation and replacement of the battery
It is recommended to use high quality alkaline batteries.
In order to install the battery, use a screwdriver to remove the screw of the battery compartment fl ap. (II)
Connect the battery to the cable with contacts, observing the polarization of the contacts. (III)
Place the battery in the handle of the device, and close the fl ap replacing the screw using a screwdriver.
Turning the device on and off
Remove the rubber cap protecting the camera. (IV)
Hold the device by the handle and turn the switch with a thumb until the welcome screen is displayed. Wait about two seconds for
the picture from the camera to appear on the monitor.
Further turning of the switch will light the illumination diodes in the camera, which is particularly useful in case of a lack of external
lighting or its low level. In order to save the battery, it is recommended to use the illumination diodes only if this is necessary.
Do not direct the beam of light towards the eyes.
Work with the device
The camera is connected to the device by means of a fl exible cable. The shape of the cable may be adapted for the conditions of
work. Avoid sharp bending of the cable in order not no damage it. The bending radius should not be smaller than 5 cm.
Be particularly careful while working with the device. In case of inspection of walls or conduits, make sure there will be no contact
with live objects like cables or metal pipes.
In case of inspection of vehicles, make sure the engine is off and all the elements which are subject to inspection are not hot. Make
sure the camera of the videoscope is not in contact with any liquids or harmful vapours and gases.
If necessary, it is possible to use during work one of the three auxiliary terminals supplied along with the device. The auxiliary
terminals are installed on the body of the camera. (V)
Connecting and disconnecting of the cable with the camera
The camera with the cable may be disconnected from the device. In order to do so, undo the clamp nut in the direction indicated
by the arrow, until the camera is disconnected. (VI)
Before you connect the camera, make sure the gasket at the end of the cable of the camera is not worn out or damaged.
While connecting the camera, make sure the protrusion at the end of the cable fi ts the notch of the device. (VII)
Tighten the nut fi rmly towards the direction opposite to the arrow.
Maintenance of the device
Once the work has been concluded, clean the casing of the device, e.g. with an air jet (whose pressure must not exceed 0.3 MPa),
a brush or a clean cloth, without any chemicals or cleaning agents. Do not use any agents that might scratch the screen. Place
the rubber protection cap on the camera.
Problem
The display is on, but there is no picture.
Shortly after the device is turned on, the lighting of
the camera begins to fade, the picture in the screen
fl ickers, the picture disappears from the screen, the
device turns off automatically.
The device cannot be turned on.
Possible reason
The cable of the camera is incorrectly connected to
the device.
The protective cap is placed on the camera.
Low battery.
Used up battery or no battery.
