Mini Banknote Counter
INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing the Safescan 2000 series mini banknote counter.
The 2000 series is a high quality portable banknote counter with outstanding performance and convenience. Its
compact and stylish design make it an invaluable tool for quick and reliable counting at speeds up to 600 bills per
minute. The unit also performs addition operations.
The 2000 series can be used with batteries or run from the enclosed 220V adapter.
WARNING
• This product should be operated only from the power source indicated in the user manual. Only use the
AC/DC adapter provided with the unit.
• Only use high quality batteries.
• Before turning the power on, please make sure that there are no objects obstructing the operation of the
rollers and wheels.
• Don't place or operate the machine under strong light. This will cause inaccurate counting.
• Don't place the machine in area's with high temperature or in area's with high humidity. This will cause
leakages of electricity and a risk of electric shocks and may cause inaccurate counting.
• When you have finished counting, switch off the machine.
• When the product in not used for a longer period of time, remove the adapter from the power source and
remove batteries from the product to avoid leakage.
I. GENERAL CONTROLS AND PARTS
A. PARTS OF THE MACHINE.
2. BEFORE STARTING
Connect the supplied adapter to the unit and plug the adapter to a power outlet.
When operating the unit on batteries, put the 4 "AA" batteries in place and close the battery cover. The unit is now
ready for operations.
3. OPERATIONS
Turn the unit on by pressing the ON/OFF switch on top of the unit.
Open the protective cover (7) and place the counting guide (9) The digital display (4) will come on and indicate '0'.
The machine is ready for counting.
Make sure the bills are properly aligned and squared. Gently press the feeding surface (8) and place the bills inside

the machine between the feeding surface and the counter wheel (6)
Once the bills are properly placed, press the START button on top and counting will start. The quantity of bills will
be shown on the screen. To perform a recounting, press the CLEAR button and press START again.
NOTE: We recommend to count the same batch of bills more than once to ensure accuracy of the counting result.
ADD FUNCTION
The Addition function allows you to quickly count and add multiple stacks of bills. The addition result will be shown
on the display.
To start the ADD function:
• Count a stack of bills as indicated above
• Remove the counted bills
• Place a new stack of bills to count and press ADD. This function will add this second stack of bill to previously
counted stacks
• Maximum count is 999 bills
