Do so by turning the crank handle in the "ZIEHEN-PULL" direction.
5. Mark the rope run-out in colour (Fig. 6-2).
Our winches can optionally be used with a special loop strap instead of a rope.
CAUTION!
Risk of accident!
The breaking load of the strap must be at least 3 times the specified lifting capacity in the lowest
rope layer.
ADVICE
Observe the direction of the strap run-out – always turn the crank handle in the "ZIEHEN-PULL"
direction!
Installing the strap
1. Feed the AL-KO connector through the strap loop (Fig. 4-1).
2. Secure the connector with a washer, serrated lock washer and screw (Fig. 4-2).
3. Wind the strap in two full turns and mark the strap run-out in colour.

Guide pulleys
The minimum diameter of the guide pulleys must be 12 times the diameter of the rope.
Example:
Rope thickness ∅ 7 mm
Guide pulley ∅ 84 mm

OPERATION

CAUTION!
When the rope/strap is under load, only wind it in so far that at least 1.5 x the rope diameter
still hangs off the pulley (Fig. 7).
Sharp edges! Risk of abrasion, crushing, cuts. Always wear protective gloves.
To wind the rope/strap in without load, hold it slightly taut.
Check the rope/strap for damage and exchange if necessary.
Do not route the rope/strap over sharp edges.
Check whether the crank handle has locked into position.
Towing winch operation
Wind the rope/strap in and out without a load.
1. Turn the locking lever to the left.
The pawl disengages and releases the gear.
Turn the hand crank clockwise.
Rope/strap can be wound in without a load.
Turn the hand crank anticlockwise.
Rope/strap can be wound out without a load.
