Instructions for use
Congratulations on the purchase of
your Tetra heater thermostat. This
TÜV
tested
heater-thermostat
manufactured from the highest quality
materials and uses the latest aquarium
heater technology. As a result you
can be sure of its accuracy, reliability
and safety. Add to this its simplicity of
use and you have a heater thermostat
that you can simply "set and forget",
leaving it to maintain the desired water
temperature and leaving you to enjoy
your fishkeeping.
Please
observe
the
following
instructions when installing and using
your Tetra heater thermostat:
1. Fasten the enclosed suction
cups to the points provided
on the HT heater thermostat (see
fig.) Note: Suction cups and
holders for heaters and/or filters
are not supplied with the AquaArt
aquarium.
2. Set the desired temperature (2)
using the adjusting knob (1).
3. Fasten the Tetra thermostat
heater in the aquarium using the
suction cups (see fig.). To
ensure the best temperature
regulation, choose a place
where the water is continuously
circulating (i.e. near a filter
or pump). Please ensure that the
heater is always immersed up to
the minimum water level mark.
4. After installing the heater, insert
the plug into the mains socket.
The thermostat takes
several minutes to register the
water temperature. The device
switches on or off as soon as
the temperature deviates from
the desired temperature setting
by ± 0.25 degrees Celsius. In this
way the Tetra HT thermostat
heater automatically keeps the
water at the desired
temperature. The control lamp
illuminates whenever the
heater is on. Minor deviations
between the adjusted
temperature of the heater and
the indication of an aquarium
thermometer are sometimes
possible.
Maintenance
To
maintain
efficient
heating,
periodically clean the glass tube of
calcifications by first unplugging the
heater, removing it after it has been
allowed to cool for 15 minutes, and then
cleaning it only with water and vinegar.
Do not use detergents, solvents or
acids.
