Application
Amongst other things the return temperature limiter RTL is
used for return flow temperature limiting with radiators
combined floor-radiator systems for the temperature equalisation
of small floor heating systems (up to approx. 15 m
only for control of the return flow temperature. Because of this it
has to be taken into account with floor heating systems that the
supply temperature used is suitable for the construction of the
floor heating system. Pay attention to see that the setting is not
lower than the ambient temperature of the return temperature
limiter since this then will no longer open (take into consideration
where it is installed). This can also be the case if the return
temperature limiter is influenced by heat transfer e.g. when

installed directly on floor heating circuit manifolds.

Hidden restricting or locking of a setting
The return temperature limiter RTL is supplied from the factory
with two stop clips. These are mounted initially inside the
graduation cap on the right next to the number 5 and on the left
next to the number 0. With these a hidden restricting or locking of
the optimum temperature can be carried out.

Withdrawing the graduation cap
In order to be able to set the hidden restriction or locking the
graduation cap of the RTL must first be withdrawn as follows:
set RTL to number 5. Insert the removal device (art. no. 6000-
00.138) above the adjusting arrow between the graduation cap
and the RTL head body. Rotate the graduation cap clockwise
beyond a perceptible resistance (illust. 1). Afterwards set the
RTL to the temperature that is to be restricted or locked, e.g.
number 3 ≈ 30°C (illust. 1) or number 2 ≈ 20°C (illust. 5).
Only now withdraw the graduation cap (illust. 1 or illust. 5) and carry
out restricting or locking as described in the following.
Upper restriction of the temperature range
e.g. to number 3 ≈ 30°C.
Slide up the stop clip from the right hand position next to number
5 with the removal device and extract it (illust. 2). Afterwards
slide the stop clip onto the 2nd web on the right next to number
3 until it clicks into place (illust. 3).
Put on the graduation cap again so that the number 3 lines up
with the adjusting arrow. Press graduation cap down firmly until
it clicks into place (illust. 4). Settings above number 3 are no
longer possible.
Lower restriction of the temperature range
e.g. to number 2 ≈ 20°C.
Slide up the stop clip from the left hand position next to number
0 with the removal device and extract it (illust. 6). Afterwards
slide the stop clip onto the 2nd web on the left next to number 2
until it clicks into place (illust. 7).
Put on the graduation cap again so that the number 2 lines up
with the adjusting arrow. Press graduation cap down firmly until
it clicks into place (illust. 8). Settings below number 2 are no
longer possible.
Locking a setting
e.g. to number 3 ≈ 30°C.
Slide up the stop clips from the right hand position next to
number 5 and from the left hand position next to number 0 with
the removal device and extract them (illust. 2). Afterwards slide
one stop clip onto the 2nd web on the left next to number 3 and
the other one on the 2nd web on the right next to number 3 until
they click in place (illust. 3).
Put on the graduation cap again so that the number 3 lines up
with the adjusting arrow. Press graduation cap down firmly until it
clicks into place (illust. 4). The RTL can no longer be adjusted.
Basic setting
To reset the basic position if the regulating head has been
adjusted or put on wrongly see the leaflet Installation and
Operating Instructions (for thermostatic head K operation).
Technical changes must be taken into account.

par le sol, il faut donc s'assurer que la température de la canalisation montante
de l'installation convient bien pour la conception du système du chauffage par
le sol. Veillez à ce que la température prescrite réglée ne soit pas inférieure à
la température ambiante du limiteur de température du circuit de retour, sinon
ce dernier ne s'ouvrirait plus (tenir compte du lieu de mise en place). Ceci peut
également être le cas lorsque le limiteur de température du circuit de retour est
influencé par des transferts de chaleur, comme c'est le cas par exemple lors du

Recommandation: Limiter ou bloquer la température désirée du circuit de retour
sur le chiffre de référence correspondant.
Limitation cachée ou blocage d'un réglage
Le limiteur de température du circuit de retour RTL est équipé en usine de deux
clips de butée. Ceux-ci sont montés au départ à l'intérieur du capuchon gradué à
droite auprès du chiffre de référence 5 et à gauche auprès du chiffre de référence
0. Ils permettent de procéder à une limitation cachée ou à un blocage du réglage
de température optimal.

Retirer le capuchon gradué
Pour pouvoir procéder à la limitation cachée ou au blocage d'un réglage, il faut d'abord
retirer le capuchon gradué du RTL. Pour ce faire, procéder comme suit :
Positionner le RTL sur le chiffre de référence 5. Introduire le dispositif de
desserrage (N° d'art. 6000-00.138) au-dessus de la flèche de réglage, entre le
capuchon gradué et la partie inférieure de la tête du RTL. Tourner le capuchon
dans le sens horaire jusqu'à ce qu'une résistance sensible soit perceptible (Fig.
1). Positionner ensuite le RTL sur la température à limiter ou à bloquer, p. ex.
chiffre de référence 3 ≈ 30 °C (Fig. 1) ou chiffre de référence 2 ≈ 20 °C (Fig. 5).
Enlever après seulement le capuchon gradué (Fig. 1 et 5) et procéder à la
limitation ou au blocage comme décrit ci-après.
Limite supérieure de la plage de température
p. ex. sur chiffre repère 3 ≈ 30 °C.
Pousser le clip de butée vers le haut à l'aide du dispositif de desserrage en
partant de la position à droite auprès du chiffre de référence 5 (Fig. 2) et le
retirer. Pousser ensuite le clip de butée sur la 2e barrette à droite auprès du
chiffre de référence 3 jusqu'à ce qu'un enclenchement se produise (Fig. 3).
Remettre le capuchon gradué en place de manière à ce que le chiffre de
référence 3 concorde avec la flèche de réglage. Appuyer fortement sur le
capuchon gradué jusqu'à ce qu'il s'enclenche (Fig. 4). Il n'est plus possible de
procéder maintenant à des réglages supérieurs au chiffre de référence 3.
Limite inférieure de la plage de température
p. ex. sur chiffre repère 2 ≈ 20 °C.
Pousser le clip de butée vers le haut à l'aide du dispositif de desserrage en partant
de la position à gauche auprès du chiffre de référence 0 (Fig. 6) et le retirer.
Pousser ensuite le clip de butée sur la 2e barrette à gauche auprès du chiffre de
référence 2 jusqu'à ce qu'un enclenchement se produise (Fig. 7).
Remettre le capuchon gradué en place de manière à ce que le chiffre de
référence 2 concorde avec la flèche de réglage. Appuyer fortement sur le
capuchon gradué jusqu'à ce qu'il s'enclenche (Fig. 8). Il n'est plus possible de
procéder maintenant à des réglages inférieurs au chiffre de référence 3.
Blocage d'un réglage
p. ex. sur chiffre repère 3 ≈ 30 °C.
Pousser les clips de butée vers le haut à l'aide du dispositif de desserrage en
partant des positions à droite auprès du chiffre de référence 5 et à gauche
auprès du chiffre de référence 0 et les retirer (Fig. 2). Pousser ensuite un clip
de butée sur la 2e barrette à gauche auprès du chiffre de référence 3 et l'autre
clip sur la 2e barrette à droite auprès du chiffre de référence 3 jusqu'à ce qu'un
enclenchement se produise (Fig. 3).
Remettre le capuchon gradué en place de manière à ce que le chiffre de
référence 3 concorde avec la flèche de réglage. Appuyer fortement sur le
capuchon gradué jusqu'à ce qu'il s'enclenche (Fig. 4).
Il n'est plus possible maintenant de régler le RTL.
Réglage de base
Pour le réglage de base en cas de tête de régulation déréglée ou de capuchon
gradué monté incorrectement, consulter le prospectus « Notice de montage et de
service » (pour commande tête de thermostat K).

De teruglooptemperatuurbegrenzer RTL wordt o.a. toegepast voor
de teruglooptemperatuurbegrenzing bij verwarmingen
gecombineerde vloer-radiatorverwarmingen voor het tempereren
van kleine vloeroppervlakken (tot ongeveer 15 m
altijd de teruglooptemperatuur geregeld. Daarom kunt u de door
de installatie gedraaide voorlooptemperatuur voor de systeemop-
bouw van de vloerverwarming gebruiken. Let op dat de ingestelde
instelwaarde niet beneden de omgevingstemperatuur van de terug-
looptemperatuurbegrenzer mag liggen omdat deze dan niet meer
zou openen (let op de montageplaats). Dit kan ook het geval zijn
wanneer de teruglooptemperatuurbegrenzer beïnvloed wordt door
overdrachtswarmte bijv. bij directe montage op de terugloopverza-

melaar van de verdelers van vloerverwarmingskringlopen.

Verdekte begrenzing of blokkering van een instelling
De teruglooptemperatuurbegrenzer RTL wordt af fabriek met twee
aanslagclips geleverd. Deze zijn standaard binnen de schaalkap
rechts naast het kengetal 5 en links naast het kengetal 0 gemonteerd.
Daarmee kan een verborgen begrenzing of blokkering van de
optimale temperatuur worden gerealiseerd.

Aftrekken van de schaalkap
Om de verdekte begrenzing of blokkering van een instelling te kunnen
aanbrengen, moet eerst de schaalkap van de RTL als volgt worden
verwijderd: zet de RTL op het kengetal 5. Steek de losinrichting (art.-nr.
6000-00.138) boven de instelpijl tussen de schaalkap en het RTL-
koponderdeel. Draai de schaalkap met de klok mee over de voelbare
weerstand heen (afb. 1). Zet de RTL vervolgens op de temperatuur die
moet worden begrensd of geblokkeerd, bijv. kengetal 3 ≈ 30 °C (afb. 1)
of kengetal 2 ≈ 20 °C (afb. 5).
Trek nu pas de schaalkap eraf (afb. 1 of 5) en voer de be grenzing of
blokkering uit zoals onderstaand beschreven.
Bovenste begrenzing van het temperatuurbereik
bijv. op het kengetal 3 ≈ 30 °C.
Schuif de aanslagclip vanuit de positie rechts naast het kengetal
5 met de losinrichting naar boven en verwijder de clip. Schuif de
aanslagclip vervolgens op de 2e rib naast het kengetal 3 totdat deze
inklikt (afb. 3).
Plaats de schaalkop weer zodanig dat het kengetal 3 met de
instelpijl overeenkomt. Druk de schaalkap goed vast totdat deze
inklikt (afb. 4). Het is nu niet meer mogelijk, instellingen uit te voeren
die boven kengetal 3 liggen.
Onderste begrenzing van het temperatuurbereik
bijv. op het kengetal 2 ≈ 20 °C.
Schuif de aanslagclip vanuit de positie links naast het kengetal 0
met de losinrichting naar boven en verwijder de clip (afb. 6). Schuif
de aanslagclip vervolgens op de 2e rib naast het kengetal 2 totdat
deze inklikt (afb. 7). Plaats de schaalkop weer zodanig dat het
kengetal 2 met de instelpijl overeenkomt
Druk de schaalkap goed vast totdat deze inklikt (afb. 8). Het is nu
niet meer mogelijk, instellingen uit te voeren die beneden kengetal
2 liggen.
Blokkering van een instelling
30. bijv. op het kengetal 3 ≈ 30 °C.
Schuif de aanslagclip vanuit de positie rechts naast het kengetal
5 en links naast het kengetal 0 met de losinrichting naar boven en
verwijder de clip (afb. 2). Schuif de aanslagclip vervolgens op de
2e rib links naast het kengetal 3 en de andere op de 2e rib rechts
naast het kengetal 3 totdat deze inklikt (afb. 3).
Plaats de schaalkop weer zodanig dat het kengetal 3 met de
instelpijl overeenkomt. Druk de schaalkap goed vast totdat deze
inklikt (afb. 4). Nu kan de RTL niet meer worden versteld.
Basisinstelling
Voor de basisinstelling bij verstelde reguleringskop of verkeerd
geplaatste schaalkap verwijzen wij naar de brochure "Montage- en
bedieningshandleiding" (bij de bediening van de thermostaatkop K).
