If for very low outdoor temperatures and
completely open thermostat valves, it is too
cold in the rooms, select a setting value that
is a half scale division higher (Fig.
e). If for very low outdoor temperatures, it is
too warm in the rooms, select a setting value
that is a half scale division lower (Fig.

, e).

Night Reduction (d)
The night reduction determines by how
many K (°C) die heating curve is shifted par-
allel downward in reduced operation. Values
between 0 and – 40 K (°C) can be set.
Select a setting with which the desired tem-
perature reduction is achieved.
Note:
A reduction of the feed temperatu-
re by 5 K (°C) results in approx.
1 K (°C) room temperature re-
duction.

Behaviour of the Regulator
in Conjunction with a Remo-
te Control and Time Control
In conjunction with a remote control, changes in
the settings can be made at any time from the
living area. These are explained briefly here.
All other adjustments must be made on the TA
210 E, however.
9.1
TA 210 E with Time Control EU 3 T
or EU 2 D and Remote Control TW 2
The remote control TW 2 is effective only
when the operating mode switch (b) of the
TA 210 E is either in position
If this is the case, the operating mode can
be set with the operating mode switch on the
remote control. If the switching mode (
selected on the remote control, the setting of
the operating mode switch of the TA 210 E
determines whether the normal operation is
switched to reduced operation (position
or to frost protection operation (position
).
Note:
In the position
mode switch on the TW 2, the re-
duction value on the adjustment
knob (d) on the TA 210 E is not
used but 25 K (°C) as a fixed re-
duction value.

If the reduction value of –25 K is too

high or too low for longer absences,
the operating mode switch (b) of the TA 210
E can be temporarily set to position
the desired reduction value set with the knob
(d).
A detailed functional description is provided
with the remote control.
9.2
TA 210 E with Remote Control
TFQ 2 or TFP 3
with Built-in Time Control
The remote control is effective only when the
operating mode switch (b) of the TA 210 E is
either in the position
rating mode can then be set exclusively by
means of the operating mode switch on the
remote control.
Note:
The degree of feed temperature
reduction is also set exclusively
on the TFQ 2/TFP 3.
A detailed functional description is provided
with the remote control.
10
Time control Programming
The build-in time controls EU 3 T and EU 2
D are provided with instructions which con-
tain all important information for the pro-
gramming of the timer.

Additional Notes
Heating units that can be operated with the
TA 210 E regulator are equipped with an au-
tomatic device that limits switching frequen-
cy of the burner in twopoint operation.
Also built into the switching box of the hea-
ting unit is a frost protection circuit that
keeps the feed temperature above a mini-
mum temperature.
For central boilers, the so-called pump swit-
ching logic in the switch box of the boiler is
activated between 10 °C and the protection
temperature setting (detailed description in
the installation instructions of the boiler).
