Under Microsoft Windows Vista you can configure the C54WMP through WCN as follows:
Click 'Start', 'Network'. Click the 'Add a Wireless Device' button on the top of the window.
Select the option 'I want to add a wireless device or computer that is not on the list, using a USB
flash drive'.
Select the option 'Add the device or computer using a USB flash drive'.
Enter the name of your Wireless network in the 'Network Name (SSID)' field or select an available
wireless network from the list (if your computer is wireless connected to the network). Click 'Next'
to continue.
Enter the encryption code for your wireless network.
Note: Windows Vista uses WPA by default. If you need to use WEP encryption, click 'Show
advanced network security options'.
Click 'Next' to continue.
Make sure the USB Flash drive is inserted and save the settings to the correct drive letter.
When the settings are saved, click 'Close' and remove the USB flash drive from your computer.
Turn on the C54WMP and go to 'Setup', 'Wireless Setup'.
Insert the USB flash drive in the USB port of the C54WMP. The C54WMP will auto detect the available
WCN configuration files and will ask you if you want to apply the settings. Please confirm. The
settings will be saved to the configuration. Remove the USB flash drive.
The correct settings are now used. We suggest you to restart the device to make sure the correct
wireless settings are used.
5.4 Manual IP Address Setup for the C54WMP
You need to setup the IP address of the C54WMP manually when there is no DHCP server in your
network available.
Press Setup (29) on the remote control or select the setup icon in the main menu on your screen.
Select the function: Network setup and press OK to enter the IP configuration.
Select the desired network type: "Wired" or "Wireless".
Select the DHCP Functionality, press OK to enter the settings and use the left or right direction key
(21) to modify it. You have to press OK again to leave this option.
You have to disable DHCP to enter the IP address manually.
