Hints for use
•
Comb the hair. Make sure the hair is free
from knots and tangles.
•
Set the operating mode.
•
Set the hair length.
•
If necessary, mount the required comb
attachment.
•
Switch on the appliance.
•
Only remove a small patch of hair at a time.
•
Regularly comb the hair into the required
hairstyle.
•
Use a towel to protect the neck.
•
To clip the hair in the neck, use the
appropriate comb attachment and hold the
appliance with the clipping head facing
upwards. Gently place the clipping head
against the head with the teeth of the comb
attachment facing upwards. Gradually move
the clipping head upwards. Start clipping
hair from the bottom to the top in the middle
of the neck and slowly proceed to the sides
of the neck.
•
To clip the hair on top of the head, use the
appropriate comb attachment and gradually
move the clipping head from back to front
against the direction of growth of the hair.
For longer hair, use a comb to keep the
hair straight above the head. Hold the
appliance with the clipping head above the
comb. Gradually clip the hair by reducing the
distance between the comb and the head.
Regularly use the comb to check whether
there are uneven locks of hair and to comb
out loose hair.
•
For an accurately finished haircut, remove
the comb attachment and turn the clipping
head over (bottom-up) to reach the bottom
of the neck, the sides of the head, and the
section around the ears. Set the adjustment
wheel for the hair length to the lowest
position. Hold the clipping head at a right
angle against the head with the teeth of the
clipping head lightly touching the skin.
Gradually move the clipping head upwards
to produce as smooth a result as if using
a razor.
•
For a layered haircut, comb the hair as
usual and divide the hair from the back of
the head into three equal parts. Fix the two
upper layers with pins to prevent the layers
from being clipped while clipping the bottom
layer. Set the adjustment wheel for the hair
length to the required position. Use the
appropriate comb attachment in combination
with a styling comb to clip the hair.
•
To thin hair, beards and sideboards, use
the appropriate comb attachment and set
the adjustment wheel for the hair length to
the required position.
•
After use, switch off the appliance and wait
until the appliance has cooled down.
