Trouble shooting
Unit doesn't power up.
Check the cable connection and wiring. Make sure the
1-
cable is correctly connected to the f ishfinder. The red
wire connects to positive terminal, and the black one to
negative terminal or ground.
Make sure the battery voltage is not lower than the
2-
warning value (10v).
Check the fuse.
3-
Weak Bottom Echo, Unstable Depth Reading, or
No Fish Signals.
Make sure the transducer is installed correctly.
1-
Extremely heavy vegetation may interfere the sonar signal,
2-
causing a misinterpretation of depth. If you are sure that
the readings are incorrect under these conditions, avoid
using your instruments in those areas.
Oil, dirt and fuel might form a film on the transducer and
3-
consequently reduce its effectiveness. Cleaning the face of
the sensor might help.
Electrical noise from the boat's motor can interfere with
4-
the sonar, which will cause weaker signals being elimi-
nated.
Check the battery voltage. The unit's transmitter power
5-
will decrease due to the voltage drop. This will conse-
quently reduce its ability to find bottoms or targets.
The sonar may be in turbulent waters. Mounting it in a
6-
smooth flow of water might help. No depth readout
when transducer is installed in the way "Shoot-thru-
