GENERAL USE
This appliance is designed to cook your meat or other types of food without
added fat. Fat from the food is collected in the grease tray. You do not need to
add grease on the cooking plate.
For best use, preheat your appliance about 3 minutes before starting cooking.
Use the thermostat to reduce or increase the cooking temperature. Cook the meat,
fish or vegetables to your taste. Always check the cooking of your food.
Never use metal ustensils (fork, knife, etc) to remove baked-on food but use
plastic or wooden utensils as this would damage the coating.
Wipe the baking plate with a damp cloth. When baked-on food cannot be
removed by this method, brush with a little oil. Allow to stand for 5 min, wipe with
a damp cloth and then dry thoroughly.
Note : when your appliance is heated for the first time, it may emit slight smoke.
This is normal with many heating appliances. This does not affect the safety of
your appliance. To limit this phenomenon, heat the appliance at the highest
temperature without any food for 5 to 10 minutes and let it cool down. Make sure
that you leave enough ventilation space around the appliance.
Directions for use
Do not put wet food on the baking plate. Wipe food before cooking.
Cut your meat, fish etc in small pieces so that they can be evenly and faster
cooked.
Never place any frozen food on the hot plate, as this may cause a thermal shock.
Do not pierce the meat (with a fork for instance) and do not cut it during cooking
as the juices would escape and make the meat tough.
After having cooked fish or seafood, wipe the baking plate with lemon juice so
that their taste is not transmitted to the food you will cook after.
If you prefer using oil, please choose olive oil as it is more resistant to high
temperatures.
