"Button" tab
Here you can configure the functions of the scroll-
wheel button and both side thumb-buttons. You can
choose from 56 different functions. Some functions,
such as for instance "Connect to the Internet", re-
quire you to enter additional information (in this case,
entry of the desired Internet address) which must be
carried out in the window below.
Click on "Apply" to save the settings as soon as you
have configured everything to suit your require-
ments.
Changing the sensor resolution
The RF Spine Mouse has a DPI button which allows
you to change the resolution of the laser sensor.
Changing the resolution is particularly useful if you
need to perform various tasks which place different
requirements on the mouse's sensor. For example,
detailed graphics applications require the highest
precision and consequently the lowest possible
mouse pointer speed, whereas if you frequently
click on different boxes then the highest possible
mouse speed is more beneficial as minimal mouse
movement is required.
DPI button not illuminated: 800dpi
DPI button illuminated a dim green colour: 100dpi
DPI button illuminated green: 1600dpi
Press the DPI button on the mouse until you have
selected the desired sensor resolution.
At a resolution of 1600dpi you only need to move
the mouse half as much to cover the same distance
on the screen compared to 800dpi. In other words,
the higher the sensor resolution setting the faster the
mouse pointer moves.
