Purpose
The JuzoFlex Malleo Xtra Strong provides anatomical
guidance for the affected ankle, thus relieving it during
movement. Medical compressive active supports have
a proprioceptive effect. They improve self-perception
and can compensate for muscle imbalances. They
reduce pain, support the removal of fluids from the
tissue, thanks to their rheological effect, and provide
relief during movement.
Here's how to put on your JuzoFlex Malleo
Xtra Strong correctly:
1. Open all the straps and pull it over your ankle so
that strap I is located on the inside, and straps II and
III on the outside of your foot (Fig. 1).
2. Now run strap I diagonally across your foot arch and
attach it to the velcro area provided. Please ensure
that your foot remains at a 90° angle to your calf
while doing so (Fig. 2).
3. Now attach strap II under tension to strap I on the
outside (Fig. 3) and then run strap III diagonally,
in the opposite direction to strap I, around the
ankle, over strap II and then fasten it onto strap I
(Figs. 4 + 5).
The ankle support is fitted correctly if it stabilizes the
ankle. Please ensure the straps do not have a constric-
tive effect and do not exert a too strong (painful)
pressure on the ankle. The straps can be readjusted
at any time by repeating steps 2 and 3 above. Please
bear in mind that rough, unfiled fingernails, toenails,
calluses and shoe linings can cause damage.
Please note:
Only wear your support when prescribed by your
physician. Medical aids should only be dispensed by
suitably trained staff of a medical products supplier.
The effectiveness of the support can only be guaran-
teed if it is applied correctly. Although your support
is largely resistant to oils, ointments, skin moisture
and other environmental influences, the fabric as
well as worked in pressure pads can be adversely
affected by certain combinations of these factors. We
therefore recommend that it gets examined regularly
by the medical products supplier. Should the product
become damaged, please consult your specialist
supplier. Do not repair the support yourself – this
could compromise its quality and medical efficacy.
For hygienic reasons, the support is not suitable for
treating more than one patient.
Washing and care instructions
Please note the care instructions on the textile label
sewn into your compression garment. Wash the
supports separately the first time (colour may run).
Your support should be washed every day on a gentle
or delicate wash cycle (30 °C). Tip: A mesh laundry
bag provides additional protection for the knitted
fabric. Please do not use fabric softener! When hand
washing, rinse well and do not wring. We recommend
the gentle Juzo Special Detergent. You can reduce
drying time by placing the supports on a thick towel
after washing, tightly rolling the towel up and firmly
pressing out excess moisture. Then hang the support
up loosely. Do not leave the product in the towel and
do not dry it on a radiator or in the sun. Juzo supports
are not suitable for dry cleaning. The support is not
suitable for tumble drying.
Material composition
Details are provided on the label sewn into your ankle
support.
Storage information and shelf life

The useful life of the medical product is printed on the

change based on the patient's condition and individual
circumstances. We therefore recommend that medical
specialists check body measurements regularly.
