To assemble X-Porte Desktop
Caution: Connect only the clinical
monitor power supply
extension cord, the
ultrasound engine power
supply extension cord, and
the (optional) printer power
supply to the isolation
transformer. Do not use the
fourth output on the
isolation transformer.
Note: To avoid unexpected results, follow the assembly
instructions in the order they are presented.
Before you begin, make sure that the isolation
transformer is disconnected from power and that
the isolation transformer's power switch is in the OFF
position.
1. Connect a transducer and the ultrasound
engine power supply to the bottom of the
ultrasound engine
1 Place the ultrasound engine upside down on a
soft surface and connect a transducer (see
Figure 2 on page 3 and "About transducers" in
X-Porte Help or in the X-Porte User Guide).
2 Connect the ultrasound engine power supply to
the ultrasound engine: Remove the plastic guard
from the power connector (if present) and
connect the power connector to the engine (see
Figure 2 on page 3).
3 Invert the ultrasound engine, so that it sits flat on
the block attached to the power connector cord.
If necessary, adjust the position of the power
connector cord to make sure that the ultrasound
engine sits flat on the block attached to the
power connector cord and is stable

2. Connect the digital video cable
1 Connect the digital video cable to the digital
video port on the back of the monitor.
2 Connect the digital video cable from the monitor
to the video-in port on the back of the ultrasound
engine (see Figure 5
3. Connect ultrasound engine and clinical
monitor power supplies to the isolation
transformer
1 Connect the ultrasound engine power supply
extension cord from the ultrasound engine
power supply to the isolation transformer.
2 Connect the clinical monitor power supply:
a Connect the clinical monitor power supply to
the power connector on the back of the
monitor.
b Connect the clinical monitor power supply
extension cord from the monitor power
supply to the isolation transformer.
