Troubleshooting Module Installation
MSO/DPO2000B and MSO/DPO2000 Series Oscilloscopes
1. Power off the oscilloscope.
2. Remove the module and examine the contacts for damage or contamination.
Clean contacts if necessary using a 75% isopropyl alcohol solution.
3. Reinstall the module into the oscilloscope.
4. Power on the oscilloscope, and perform the Checking Module Installation
procedure. (See page 4.)
a. If the Application Modules list shows the module as installed, cleaning
the contacts fixed the problem.
b. If the Application Modules list does not show the module as installed,
go to step 5.
5. Power off the oscilloscope and move the module to another slot.
6. Power on the oscilloscope, and perform the Checking Module Installation
procedure. (See page 4.)
a. If the Application Modules list shows the module as installed, you have
a problem with one of the module slots. Contact your Tektronix service
center.
b. If the oscilloscope does not list the module after you try the module in
every slot, contact your Tektronix service center.
