Intended use

This angle grinder
is designed for industrial applications,
is designed for dry grinding and cutting
metal and stone,
for dry grinding and cutting metal and
stone with rough wheels and cutting-off
wheels which are permitted to operate at
a circumferential speed of 80 m/s.
Not permitted are e.g. chain cutting wheels,
saw blades.

Safety instructions

n When using the power tool,
wear protective equipment:
Goggles, dust mask, ear protection,
protective gloves, sturdy shoes.
If required, also wear an apron!
n Always guide the angle grinder with both
hands. The handle (3) must be attached!
n Do not clamp the angle grinder in a vice.
n Always lay the power cord (7) to the rear
away from the angle grinder.
n Clamp the workpiece if it is not securely
positioned by its own weight.
n Store and handle grinding tools according
to the manufacturer's instructions.
n Before using the machine, check that
the installed tools have been secured
according to the manufacturer's
instructions.
n Before using the machine, check that the
grinding tools have been installed and
secured correctly. Switch on the machine
at no load for 30 seconds!
Interrupt the test run immediately if violent
vibrations occur or other damage is
established. Check the machine to
determine the cause.

n Use only those tools which have
a permitted speed at least as high as
the nominal speed of the angle grinder.
n Note the dimensions of the grinding tools.
The hole diameter must match the
threaded flange (1). Do not use any
adapters or reducers.
n Grinding tools must be able to rotate
freely.
n Keep hands away from rotating grinding
tools.
n Avoid the area behind and in front of the
rotating tool.
n Use grinding tools for the intended
purpose only. Never subject cutting-off
wheels to lateral pressure or use for
rough-grinding.
n Use authorised and recommended
accessories and tools only.
n Do not cut workpieces which have
a diameter larger than the maximum
cutting depth of the angle grinder.
n Caution when cutting in unknown,
non-visible areas (e.g. walls).
n Do not work materials which contain
asbestos.
n Switch on the angle grinder before
guiding it towards the workpiece.
n Do not load the angle grinder to such
an extent that it stops.
n Before putting down or carrying the angle
grinder, switch off and wait until it comes
to a standstill.
n Protect persons and flammable objects
from flying sparks. Set the guard (2)
correctly.
n Do not grind or cut materials which
release hazardous substances
(e.g. asbestos).
n Never grind or cut light metals which have
a magnesium content greater than 80 %.
