Warning: This product is covered by a warranty.
This Battery Charger is not intended for use by persons (including children)
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lacking experience and
knowledge, unless they are supervised or given instruction concerning use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
This Battery Charger should be kept away from children under 14.
Ensure you use this Battery Charger to fully charge the Robot battery at least once
every 3 months especially if the robot is in storage.

OPERATION
This appliance has no on/off switch:
• To turn on, connect as described below.
• To turn off, disconnect the Plug (H) from the Wall Socket.
1. Fully insert the Power Connector (G) into the Power Connector Socket (A).
2. Insert the Plug (H) into the Wall Socket.
- The LED (C) should turn solid green.
3. Insert the Battery Charger Connector (E) into the Robot.
- The LED (C) turn solid red, to indicate it is charging.
- The LED (C) will turn solid green when the battery is fully charged.

PRECAUTION
Follow the precautions below to avoid damage to persons, to the Battery Charger
and its environment.
• Read the installation instructions contained in this Manual carefully, and store
it in a place where you can easily find it.
• This Battery Charger is designed for use with NAO only.
• Only use the cables provided. Do not use the power cable for other products.
• Do not open the Battery Charger.
• Place on a flat and level surface and ensure there is easy access to cables and
Plug (H).
• Do not use the Battery Charger in (or with) any heating appliance, for example
ovens, hairdryers, etc.
• Do not cover the Battery Charger. Do not put it in a confined area, nor put it
near heat sources, or in direct sunlight.
• Use caution when touching the Battery Charger. It could be very hot during
charging.
• The Battery Charger is not waterproof. Keep it dry at all times. Do not use
where humidity is saturated such as a bathroom. Do not use with wet hands.
• If wet, disconnect at the circuit breaker before unplugging.
• If there is dust on the plug, unplug the Battery Charger and clean the plug
with a soft dry cloth.
• Verify that the available supply voltage is adequate for the Battery Charger.
• Do not use the Battery Charger if the Power Cable (F) or the Battery Charger
Cable (D) are damaged.
• If there is smoke, sparks, noise or a smell coming from the Battery Charger
Casing (B), remove Plug (H) immediately from the Wall Socket and contact
Softbank Robotics or your Service Department.
• Do not use the Battery Charger when there is thunder.
• To unplug, remove the Plug (H). Do not pull the Power Cable (F).
•
When using a power extension or a multiple socket adapter, ensure it has
sufficient current rating. You may use either one or the other to extend from
the Wall Socket, but no more than one extension device at a time.
• Disconnect the Battery Charger at the Plug (H), when cleaning it or when not
using it for a long period of time.
• The Battery Charger must not be subjected to any impact, whether plugged
or unplugged.
