FI RST TIM E SETU P
A. What's Included Inside the Box

The Fastback® Model 25 Photobook binder
•
Accessory Box, which contains:

If any items are damaged or missing, contact Powis Parker dealer
immediately .
B. Setting Up
1 .
With the help of someone else, remove the binder from the box .
2 .
Position the machine on the desk, table, or counter where it will
reside . We recommend placing your binder near the Fastback
Splitter .
3 .
Remove cardboard shipping pieces from the top and inside of the
binder as described on the unpacking sheet attached to the binder .
4 .
Connect the heater thermistor/thermostat connectors inside the
binder as described on the unpacking sheet attached to the binder .
5 .
Remove the plastic book fence from the cardboard liner in the box .
6 .
Attach the fence to the Fastback® binder by aligning the two slots
in the plastic fence with the metal tabs on the book clamp . Hold
the fence on each side, and insert the tabs firmly into the slots .
5 . Unpack the cooling rack and place it on top of the rear of your
Fastback® binder . The long, bent metal tab under the front of the
rack should be inserted in the slot above the four printed icons .
C. Plugging In
1 .
The power switch is located at the lower left on the front of the
machine . Before plugging in the Fastback® binder, make sure the
power switch is off by depressing the "O" side of the power switch .
2 .
Plug the power cord into the outlet on the back of the machine .
Then connect it to a standard, grounded electrical outlet .
D. Ready To Go
Turn the power switch on by depressing the "1" side of the power
switch . Display will read "WARMING UP ." In approximately 5–10
minutes the display will read "READY TO BIND ." Now the machine
is ready to use .
The Model 25 Binder consumes relatively little power when it is

not binding . However, if the machine will not be used for several hours,
save power by turning it off .
