INSPECTION
After having performed the memorisation and learning of MOMB, it is neces-
sary to check the correct functioning:
a) check that everything envisioned in chapter 1 - Recommendations and gen-
eral precautions have been respected;
b) pass a valid card in front of MOMB (programmed in one of the three available
modes) and observe if the automation performs the command sent. If this is
not the case, see chapter 7 - "What to do if...troubleshooting".
c) check that the other cards have also been memorised correctly.

FURTHER INFORMATION
• When the electric power input is applied to the control unit, MOMB flashes in
red to indicate the type of memory present plus 5 flashes if the memory is emp-
ty; refer to Table 3:
N° of flashes
Description
1
BM60
2
BM250
3
BM1000
4
Indicates that the memory has invalid codes
5
Error during reading of the memory
5 (lenses)
Empty memory
• During the programming phase the MOMB emits acoustic tones to signal reg-
ular functioning or errors; refer to Table 4:
Acoustic tone
Description
1 tone
Indicates the passage of the card
2 close tones + 1 tone Signals an invalid card
3 tones
Signals the correct execution of the programming

Signals that an error has been made; programming failed
6.1 -
Procedure for the self-insertion of new cards
With this function it is possible to insert additional cards directly from the read-
er. To do this, a card that is already active must be available, from which the
new card will also take the "STATIC" or "DYNAMIC" programming modes.
01. Position and hold the NEW card in front of the reader for at least 5 seconds
02. After the 5 seconds, remove the NEW card from in front of the reader
03. Pass the already activated card in front of the reader 3 three times
04. Pass the NEW card in front of the reader once
Recommendation: after the first NEW card it is possible to program others,
repeating the entire procedure for every card.
6.2 -
Procedure for deleting the entire memory
This function can be used to delete all data contained in the reader BM memo-
ry. Attention! – Every time the memory is deleted, reader addressing from the
control unit must take place (see respective manual instructions).
01. Press and hold the "P" key (fig. 4); the "L1" LED will stay on for 3 seconds
and then flash 3 times
02. Release the key during the 3rd flash
At the end of the procedure the "L1" LED emits a series of impulses and after a
few seconds, if the procedure has been performed correctly the MOMB emits 3
acoustic (beeps) and flashes 5 times for confirmation (memory empty).
At this point MOMB learning must take place by the control unit; it will then be
possible to program the MOMB in "EASY" and "PROFESSIONAL" modes.
6.3 -
Procedures for changing the type of associated
command to command n° 1 and to command n° 2
With this function it is possible to change the command assigned to a card. It is
possible to select which command to couple to the desired card, from those
available in Table 5. Some commands could be different with respect to the con-
trol unit to which the reader is connected (see control unit instruction manual).
