Storage
Disconnect the device from the mains power when it is not going to be used for a prolonged
period. Clean the device again if necessary (see the "Cleaning and Care" chapter) and let it dry
completely.
Store the device and all accessories in a dry, clean, frost-free place that is protected from direct
sunlight and cannot be accessed by children or animals.
Troubleshooting
If the device does not work properly, check whether you are able to rectify a problem yourself.
If the problem cannot be solved with the steps that are listed, contact the customer service
department.
Do not attempt to repair an electrical device yourself!
Problem
Nothing is shown on
the display (4).
The fuse in the fuse box
is triggered.
The brewing process is
not started.
The grinding / brewing
process stops prema-
turely.

Possible cause
The mains plug is not inserted
correctly in the plug socket.
The plug socket is defective.
There is no mains voltage.
Too many devices connected to
the same circuit.
There is too little / no water in
the water tank (3).
The lid of the coffee bean
compartment (13) is not
properly engaged.
The fi lter compartment (12) is
not properly closed.
The lid (15) is not properly in
place on the fi lter holder (17).
The lid of the coffee bean com-
partment (1) has been opened.
Fix
Insert the mains plug.
Try another plug socket.
Check the fuse of the mains
connection.
Reduce the number of devices in
the circuit.
Fill the water tank at least up to
the 4-cup marking.
Close the lid of the coffee bean
compartment. You must hear and
feel it engage.
Flip the fi lter compartment shut.
You should feel and hear it click
into place.
Place the lid on the fi lter holder.
Keep the lid closed during the
grinding / brewing process!
