10. Once they have finished cooking raise the lid with the oven mitt. Remove the
arepas using a plastic or wooden spoon, do not use metal utensils as they may
scratch and damage the non-stick cooking surface.
11. If you are cooking more than one batch of arepas in a session, after the first batch
lower the lid to maintain the heat level until its ready to cook the next batch.
12. As soon as you are finished cooking your batch of arepas, unplug the appliance
and allow it to cool.
Cleaning Your Arepa Maker:
WARNING: Always unplug the product and allow it to cool before cleaning or storing it.
NOTICE: Never immerse the Arepa maker, plug or cord in water or any other liquid.
• Disconnect the Arepa maker from the electrical outlet.
• Make sure the appliance is completely cooled before handling.
• Clean the upper and lower non-stick plates using a damp nonabrasive cloth.
NOTE: NEVER IMMERSE THE AREPA MAKER
• Exterior of Arepa maker can be cleaned with a damp cloth as well.
• Wrap the cord in the cord storage below the appliance.
• Dry all parts thoroughly before storing or using again.
• Store in a cool, dry place. Away from reach of children.

Pour the wáter in a bowl and add salt. Slowly pour in the flour into the wáter and
knead until it is soft and firm.
With the palms of you hand, roll a protion of the dough making it round and flat,
about 1 inch thick and 3 inches wide so they can fit even on the to plate.
Cook from 7- 20 minutes. If you wish for a dark toast, it may remain on the machine
for more time.
